We lose power a lot in Florida. I like to have this on hand for coffee when we lose power. I have tried other brands and they had an aftertaste. This is the most fresh tasting ne I have tried.

We mixed it with dry whole milk and used it for cream in our coffee when backpacking. It was also delicious mixed into hot cocoa mix.

I am so glad I could get this in a powdered form. What others have said is true - it does need some time to hydrate or you need to whisk it to get it to incorporate but otherwise no issues. I have used it to make Crème Anglaise and other holiday baking with no issues. I am glad to not be pouring out half a container of heavy cream because I didn't use it all!

After reading reviews I chose Judee's, and it has lived up to its press. We keep it for when we are out of the real thing. Very true to the flavor of cream when added to coffee, our main usage.

I did not try this because of the way it was delivereed. Imagine opening your front door and you smell something fishy. They packed/broke glass bottles of clam juice with the bag of heavy cream powder. It ruined both products. I found the innermost part of the bag of powdered cream to be ok, there was not much that was not ruined. Anyway, I tested it. It clumps. The clumps are difficult to get rid of. Not only is hot liquid necessary, but A LOT, AND I MEAN A LOT OF STIRRING IS NECESSARY. i could have churned butter with as much stirring I did. The product had a strange taste. I dumped the remainder out. Thank goodness for Amazon protection. No hassles, no problems from Amazon; they truly wanted to make sure I stayed a 'happy customer'. I love AMAZON and plan to stay with them as long as they treat their customers right; which they definitely did with me! Thank you Amazon!

I ordered the four main brands of heavy cream powder I could find, mixed all and did a taste test straight, as well as mixed with my favorite powdered milk (Peak) to create a "half and half". In order from best to worst these were my preference:1. Judee's Heavy Cream Powder - closest to the mild sweet taste of fresh cream2. Anthony's Heavy Cream Powder - reminds me of raw grass fed cream and milk I've gotten from a co-op - has a grassy cow-y taste that I am not a fan of, even if it's actually more natural. Once mixed with powdered milk that farm taste is less pronounced and the two come together well enough to create a fair approximation of fresh full cream milk. If I hadn't tried Judee's I'd probably settle for this one, but since Judee's is much better, I dumped it.3. WillPowder Heavy Cream Powder - my first taste hit me with a strong industrial refrigerant or walk-in freezer taste - if you've ever had desserts from a restaraunt stored too long in their display case so the cream picked up that distinctive refrigerated smell that your own fridge doesn't have, or if you've ever noticed that smell in a restaurant's walk in freezer - that is what this tastes like. I thought maybe after it was mixed and settled overnight or even two days it might disappate, but it did not. The texture is fine but the taste is not. I dumped it.4. Hoosier Hill Farm Heavy Cream Powder - an odd unpleasant taste. Nothing like cream. Surprising, because I like other Hooier Hill Farm products. Dumped it.

I love being able to cook from my pantry and Judee's Heavy Cream Powder allows me to do that. I absolutely love this product. Having this product on hand I will have cream whenever I want or need it for any recipe. It tastes great and has a long shelf life (couple of years). Companies are changing the way they are packaging their product and the creamer I used to buy for my tea is one of them. The company stopped making the smaller version and so I started using Judee's Heavy Cream Powder in my tea. I've read comments about the powder not dissolving into tea/coffee well but I don't find that to be much of an issue but maybe it depends on how much you are using. I use about a quarter to a half teaspoon in my tea. It doesn't dissolve immediately so sometimes I start with just adding the hot water to the creamer then add my tea other times I let it be and the little clumps absorb into the tea but no matter even if there are little clumps it still tastes great. This is a repeat purchase and I'm so happy with this product that it will be a staple in my pantry always.
