Legit 1911L
Got mine yesterday and I have used it a good bit since receiving it (wrote about 1 1/2 A4 size pages of notes and a full page in my journal) and it is amazing. I got the H-F nib and it is very fine and precise, more like a western-style EF. I have another pen with a similar sized nib and this pen writes a much cleaner with a more crisp line and more control of where the ink is laid down.I highly recommend this pen to anyone interested in a Sailor. I also own a Pro Gear Slim Four Seasons Meigetsu and I like this one more - it's more comfortable to use (not to say the PGS isn't comfortable, it is one of my favorite pens, I just like this larger pen more)

Excelent pen, as most of the sailors. This model is a perfect size, it's biguer tha the standard size

Great Quality Material, Excellent Price, and Superb Nib
This is my first Sailor. I have a few Monthblancs, and this holds its place among them (regardless of having a lower price point). Good Quality Pen, I ordered an Extra Fine. The plastic resin and the Nib are of excellent quality. The Pen is easy to fill, and I would have to agree that Sailor makes one-of-a-kind and best in business Fountain pen nibs.

The Fine point is far too scratchy for my tastes
I have this pen in a medium nib and thought that a fine nib would prevent bleed-through on certain paper stock. Wrong. The fine nib leaves very little ink on the paper and is not pleasant to write with. I did return this pen for that very reason. I like the feel of the Sailor pen in my hand but the fine nib is just awful.

Writes a little dry and scratchy.
As I owned a Sailor fountain pen in the past, I thought this one would be a nice replacement for my Montblanc 146 that is in sore need of repair. The look and feel are about the same. It feels nice in the hand, isn't too heavy, but not too light either. I got the fine point and after writing with it for some time have determined I don't much care for this pen. The nib is too scratchy and the ink doesn't seem to flow that smoothly from it... it's kinda a "dry" writer... frequent skips. Absolutely not what I expected from Sailor, and not what I expected for the price either. I'd "skip" this pen if I were you.

Great writer
Great price, it seemed new and is definitely the real model. Sailor should include a converter but that is not the seller's fault. Wrote perfectly out of the box.

My favorite Sailor
It’s rare to see silver trim on Amazon. I am glad I found the fine nib, writes well.

Writes scratchy. Very light and cheap feeling. Brings dishonor to my desk.
For background, I have purchased and used around 30 fountain pens ranging from 20 to 300 dollars. I had been impressed with a Sailor brand pen in a brick and mortar pen store. Wrote like butter. This one is totally scratchy. I prefer my Lamy Dialog 3, Lamy 2000, Pilot Vanishing Point and Kaweco fountain pens to this one. Heck, many Lamy Studio pens and Pilot Metropolitan pens write better than this. It hurts my soul to write with it. Very lightweight and cheap fee, which I could excuse if it wrote well. Came with 2 cartridges and no converter. If I purchase Sailor again it will be from a brick and mortar after writing with it. Sad!
