Awesome reels worth every penny
The media could not be loaded. These reels are almost indestructible I use them from spring through fall to catch all sizes of fish from small schoolies to 6’ sharks with no problems. Been using this bait runner reels for years now with out any issues

Great workhorse, but check for quality initially.
Been using this reel for about a year and couldn't be happier with the performance. This is a solidly built, and beautiful looking reel.I've used it to pull in King Salmon, Halibut, and Lingcod out of the SF Bay Area. Even after a year of good use its still in tip-top condition and will surely keep bringing in many more fish for me over the years.I originally got this reel after going on a fishing charter and using it there. The charter was run by a commercial halibut fisherman who has been doing his craft for 30 years. He swore by this Shimano reel, and I can see why now.Customer Note:I just recently bought a second TLD-15 reel from Amazon, and after spooling the line on it, I realized that the lever drag was not doing its job. The drag was just not holding, and the line was almost free-spooling even with the max drag set. Definitely test your reels asap after buying to make sure you're not getting something with a potential defect. Maybe choose to buy it locally instead if you're not a skilled fisherman yet, so you can get it spooled and tested at the shop first properly

Great Reel!
Best value for your money of all secondary drag reels. I have had Shimano Baitrunner reels ever since they came out with the model around 20 years ago. Those reels still work great. Just bought two of these in the last year to add to my surf fishing arsenal. The cast great, have a strong drag, and reel smooth as butter. Awesome reels! I tried a Penn Liveliner in between and it failed on the second time I used it. Go with Shimano as they always build high quality products.

It looked great
I was trying to save a couple of bucks and went for the used reel. When I opened the box, the reel looked like new but when I turned the handle it had a stiff spot in it and would barely spin. I own another Shimano 4000 like this one and have no problems with it. Amazon was great and returned it with no trouble but it was a big waist of time.
