Boxie PD2094-10 Uno Ergonomic Lockable File Box - 10 Pack

Bought this locally, without the bonus ZipClips and Roo, for $10. They were worth that price, but not a penny more. The lids go together easily and hold together well on their own. However, as other reviewers mentioned, if you want the box to stay together you MUST tape it. Wrapping packing tape through the handle hole and around the top of the box works just fine.The lid covers the tape and you'd never know it was there. The lid does sit fairly securely on the box.I suppose there are some isolated instances where you might want to zip-tie the lid to the box, but...I think it's a pretty wacky concept. And I disagree that the cube pack is easy-to-carry. It doesn't have a top or a bottom, and once you cut that strap to get one of the boxes out, it's precarious at best.The boxes are reasonably sturdy, and now that I've assembled them with tape through the handle holes, they meet my needs. This is why I've given the product 2 stars vs 1. It's no surprise that the price has been drastically reduced.

In site of the advertising that the "UNO SCOTTLOCK(tm) design allows for easy, glue-less, fastener-less assembly," it simply isn't true. The inner walls of two thirds of the boxes, in fact, don't stand up by themselves the way traditional storage boxes do. The cardboard where the handle will be that is meant to fold under and hold the inner wall in simply isn't long enough to do the job. You fold it under, it opens back up and the inner wall falls back into the middle of the box.And the ZipClips are not normally included and are meant to "lock" the box, not hold it together.If they tweaked it, it has potential, but right now it's too aggravating to bother with.

Bought 10 of these boxes from a local store. The box shows clips or a zip tie element so I figured they were included. They were not, so I ended up taping the boxes together. Just too much trouble to make these boxes work. With the other kind file box you have everything you need. The ties should be packaged with the file boxes. And really, how silly is it to advertise that a cardboard box is lockable.

It falls apart. I like what they were trying to do, but it's ruined by the fact that they fall apart easily. I suppose maybe the box lock would have held it together, but that's not what they're designed for and aren't included. Made my move difficult because of this. I won't buy these again and will buy ones with more traditional assembly in the future.
