Received it today. Definitely, what is pictured is not what I received. The large end of the spring with the mounting pic is at the base end (the exact opposite of what pictured). It also uses a phillips/slotted head screw to attach the spring to the base thru the spring coil (also not as pictured). I would not order this again and I will flag this supplier so I know to never use them again!

Somewhat disappointed
The one I received is not the same as the one in the photo, nor is it the same quality. It's also not the same as any of the ones pictured on the box it came in. It doesn't thread directly into the base as shown, but is held in with a screw. It doesn't seem to be heavy duty either, since the coil bounces around when I put my iron in. The base is heavy cast iron, which is good, but I really wanted the coil to be more stable. However, it fits my iron perfectly, and I suppose it will do for now.

Poor Quality Soldering Iron Stand
I purchased this stand to hold my new Weller 120 watt iron as it was an Amazon recommended companion product. The black plastic mouth piece inside diameter was too small an opening to accommodate the body of the iron. After filing the opening to hold the iron the black plastic sleeve melted on the hot iron. I discarded the black plastic mouth piece and just use the bare wire spring mouth to hold the iron. The thin sponge is useless and does not stay put in its tray. This product is surely not a "Heavy Duty Soldering Stand" as advertised.

This really is HEAVY Duty
If you are looking for a sturdy stand for your soldering iron then this is it. I was really surprised by the weight of this stand when it arrived. It is heavy for a soldering iron stand. My iron stays put very well as this stand is not easy to knock over or be pulled over by a power cord or the weight of an iron. There is nothing flimsy about it. It really is heavy duty and was well worth the higher cost compared to lots of stands I looked at. So, if you are on the fence about paying a little extra, have no fear. This is the right one to buy!

The base is nice and weighty so the stand stays in place and ...
Coil is very weak. Have a Weller Heavy Duty iron (100 Watt) and this holder sags with the iron in it. The base is nice and weighty so the stand stays in place and can fit the holder for the bass tip cleaner. But the iron is very unstable when resting in the stand.

Could have been a 5!
Everything is there to be a very good product. Problem is, the holder (spring type assembly) is secured to the mounting piece by the chrome plating. Seriously, that's it. Maybe somebody missed a step but the way it is, the "holder" part broke away from the mount in the assembly process. I have a soldering gun so I will do what should have been done at the factory. I didn't expect to pay $11 for a "project". Heavy Duty? Could of been but not. Buy it, if you want to work on it.

cheap better adjective than heavy duty
Mine would better be called most of a soldering iron stand. The one I received was not the exact same design. Instead of the spiral part being threaded to screw into the base (as it appears in the image), mine ended in a loop that a bolt fits through to attach it. Only, no bolt in package. Should say "bolt not included". That's why I say most of a soldering iron stand. So, I found a bolt that fit, not a big problem, but annoying. And the sponge is thin, but I wouldn't use it anyway. Heavy duty it is not, but you can probably tell that from the image. It is inexpensivish, so they might better title the item "Most of a Cheap Soldering Iron Stand". Probably should have returned it, but it will work and it's just too much bother.

Reasonable stand for price...
This stand is nothing to write home about, yet for occasional light-duty use it does the job just fine. If you're expecting to use it daily you'd probably be happier by spending a few more bucks for a high quality stand. Some customers complained about the stand breaking at the connection to the base. It indeed seems to me like a sensitive spot that won't be able to withstand abuse. However, it should be just fine for for occasional light-duty use.
