Leroux Regular Instant Chicory 7oz/200g

I was looking for a coffee alternative for a friend who cannot have any caffeine at all as it makes their heart stop. I read up on chicory and that the best was that which comes from France. I also needed it to be instant. I decided to start trying different brands to see which tasted in my opinion the best not expecting anything as I'm a coffee drinker. I plan on gifting some to our friend. I started with this brand and to my surprise I love this beverage. I now plan on buying it for myself and dividing my days between this chicory beverage and my coffee as well as buying some for our friend. I really am happy I tried this. I don't even know if I will try any of the other brands after all. I make mine with a sweetener and a tablespoon of half and half. It's delicious and it's not bitter and I recommend this to anyone wanting something that tastes good leaves no bitter aftertaste and has absolutely no caffeine. Some companies add coffee to their chicory but this is only the Chicory. I plan on this being a regular item in our home.

This stuff is pretty great! Taste real good mixed into coffee and taste decent on its own. Its a good caffeine free alternative. Another great aspect is it is much less likely to stain your teeth than coffee, so that's a win!

I sometimes crave coffee in the evening and this was the perfect solution- and it's healthy! I just add a few teaspoons to foamed milk and I don't even need to add sugar because it's that tasty! I only wish it were cheaper.

I love this product . A lot of memories for me. My mom was drinking Chicoree each morning.

This is my first time trying instant chicory (I've had Cafe du monde coffee blend before). I wanted a caffeine-free hot drink with good flavor that wasn't too sugary. Basically, something I can drink on a cold night that isn't tea or hot chocolate. The granules blend well, same as instant coffee does. The flavor is definitely not like coffee, but stronger/bolder than most tea, which I appreciated; you can add more or less to taste. I do find it a little bitter, in a different way than coffee is. I drink my coffee with minimal cream and sugar, so I would prefer not to dump in a lot of add ins to cover up the taste. I'm still working out how to make this suit my tastes, but I liked it enough to keep trying. I think it's a good product and a good choice if you want to try chicory. Also, 7 oz of this stuff was a lot more than I was expecting, so it's a decent deal.

Excellent flavor!! Dissolves very well! One of the best instant Chicory I've tasted!Now if it would only come in a bag that I could just refill the jar with.
