This is a very sturdy and high quality hitch pin lock. A cool feature is the slider on the key hole, keeps dirt and road grime from getting inside. This is a heavy duty, solid hitch pin lock, very pleased with the quality of Rhino USA products.

Exemplary service for a superior product!
I have always felt that the best test of a vendor or manufacturer comes, not when everything goes right, but when there is a problem. This is a fine example. Recently, I purchased a 2024 Toyota Tacoma pickup. Five days after taking delivery, a woman backed into my brand new pickup while I was parked in a supermarket lot - and drove off! Fortunately, there was no significant damage. But, to try to prevent damage in the future, I bought a “bump step” (also here on Amazon). To discourage theft of the bump step, I ordered this Rhino USA locking hitch pin. It’s beautifully made by a small company right here in the USA. But when I went to install it, I found that the pin was too short for my truck. I contacted the company and they responded promptly, telling me they were going to send me a longer one. When that one arrived it, too, was a smidge too short. Apparently, the Tacoma has a wider hitch than most. A representative of Rhino USA reached out to me to see how I made out. I gave him the sad news. Presently, he responded that they were sending me a pin that is longer still, and that he had personally verified that it fit on a 2024 Tacoma. Indeed, it does! Rhino USA went over and above to make sure I had something that worked, and didn’t even require me to send the others back. THAT, my friends, is great service for a great product. Highly recommended! AND, if you buy one, too, you will be supporting an American manufacturer.

Not USA made. Made in China.
USA is literally in their name. They are very proud to say they are an American company. USA! AMERICA! USA! AMERICA!!...... It is plastered all over their ads and their website. You may think that you are buying an American product...........Well, no. It's made in China. Not that "made in China" is automatically inferior quality (but a whole lot of their stuff is.), or that "Made In The USA" automatically means it is higher quality, (but, often it IS higher quality...). And it's not like Rhino USA exactly hides where their stuff is manufactured. (If you drill down deep enough into their website, you can find in their FAQ that their products are manufactured offshore.) But, it all feels a little intentionally misleading and kinda' leaves a sour taste in my mouth. That aside, the lock itself looks nice, it seems very solid and nicely made. Time will tell about longevity or corrosion resistance, but it's not like this is a high tech item. It will probably work just fine for a long time.I must address though, an issue brought up in a video review concerning the ease with which this lock can be picked. Obviously this video was made primarily so we can all marvel at the guy's lock picking skills. In reality, it makes no difference. Sadly, It's sort of laughable. These locks are great at removing the temptation from some shady cat at the boat ramp who glances over and realizes he could simply pull a clip, yank the pin, slide the hitch into his receiver, and haul your $6k trailer away. However, these locks are not going to stop a professional thief, and that difficult to pick, high dollar barrel key lock isn't going to slow them down either.........Unlike TV and movie thieves, in real life, the bad guys usually aren't really all that smart or dedicated to their craft. It would never occur to 99.9% of them to put in the time to learn how to pick locks. They'll just grab that rechargeable cut off tool they stole from their neighbors garage and in 30 seconds or so, they'll have any receiver pin lock, no matter how expensive, lying in the dirt.

Secure and Sturdy Hitch Pin
I recently added the Rhino USA Trailer Hitch Pin to my towing setup, and it's been a game-changer for my peace of mind. As someone who loves to tackle DIY projects, I appreciate products that are both functional and easy to use, and this hitch pin fits the bill perfectly.First off, the installation was simple and quick. The locking mechanism is solid, and I love the added security it provides. Knowing that my trailer is safely secured is a big relief, especially when towing heavy loads like my boat. One of the standout features is the weatherproof design. The pin's protection against dust, mud, and gunk is a significant plus, especially since I often travel through rough terrains. This durability means I don't have to worry about the elements affecting its performance. However, I did notice that the key insertion can be a bit tricky at times, especially if there’s dirt buildup. A quick clean usually solves this, but it’s something to be aware of if you're frequently in muddy environments. The Rhino USA Trailer Hitch Pin has exceeded my expectations in terms of security and build quality. It's a reliable addition to my towing gear, ensuring my trailer stays firmly attached during all my travels.
