Still a Good Movie For Kids & Adults!
You missed out if you seen all the other Batman movies, but didn't see the original one! This original film from the sixties has a special kind of flair to it. Now, in some ways it's like a comic poke at the time period for the adults that are seeing it, while also being an exciting and funny film for kids at the same time. The movie is packed with some big names of the day: Lee Meriweather, Ceaser Romero, Burgess Meredith, etc., and they all had to have had fun making this film!

The Best Movie Ever Made.
Classic American production, what a great view. I would advise anyone to show the new generation this masterpiece. It reminds me of watermelon Sundays and hot summer nights when my heart was young and gay. Adam West the majestic somber faced master, with his devoted Burt Ward rallying as the perfect foil parrying and cavorting through the majestic sets of a magnificent bygone era. This movie represented the zenith of entertainment on this planet. The only series to go near it, was the Star Trek original with Captain Kirk, and the crew of the good ship enterprise, reward yourself and buy this, then purchase the box set of the complete series. I have not opened my set yet, I am still savoring the bouquet of the the haunting memories that linger within my soul.

It’s just a lot of fun
The Special Edition Blu Ray of Batman The Movie is Awesome. I am so Glad to add this to my collection. In my opinion you really cannot ignore the Impact that the television series had on the 60s generation. The Movie was meant really at first to sell The Batman T.V. Series over seas. It was a hit over in the states and did very well abroad. If you are a Batman fan I highly recommend it for the fun of watching Adam West and Burt Ward having the time of their life playing the Dynamic Duo. It’s just a lot of fun.

Everything is Funny in Gotham!
As a family we love it year after year it is so tongue in check hilarious! Doesn't take itself seriously like the animated versions. Casting could not be better : Burgess Meredith; Caesar Romero; Frank Goshen ; and Adam West as Batman. I'd mention them all and I would if I could remember them. (I'm the grandma) Grandkids are 6, 8 and 10 years; their father is 41. We span the decades and we all love this beautiful comedy! Don't you remember that Batman music: da-na-da-na-da-na BATMAN. Slide down the Bat Escape to the waiting Bat-winged Chrysler Imperial or the likes. Pure unreal fun! Great Color super-real fiction.

Way better than Affleck!!!
I grew up on Adam west's Batman and still love him best❣️This movie is amazing and cheesier than a bowl of Mac n cheese! I personally love the camp factor of the '60s Batman and feel privileged to have met Adam west at a book signing. If you don't have time for the series, this movie will give you a hefty helping of it.

Best Camp Movie Ever to Grace the Silver Screen!
Almost all the fun of the Batman TV Show without the commercials (sadly, no Batgirl)!Take the entire regular cast of the TV Show, add in the best villains, stir in a romance between Bruce Wayne and Catwoman with a heavy dose of camp and you have Batman: The Movie (1966).***Spoilers May Occur Below***When the Joker (Ceasar Romero), Penguin (Burgess Meredith), the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) and Catwoman (Lee Meriwether) join forces to steal a device that will dehydrate anything in order to kidnap the entire United World Central Committee, you know that only Batman and Robin can save the day! Not only do B&R get outwitted a few times, but Bruce Wayne falls for (and almost converts) Catwoman (disguised as Kitka). The regular hi-jinks occurs ending with, you guessed it, Batman and Robin saving the day and the world in the end--even though we do find out that Batman is not perfect in the final return of the Central Committee.Whip out the buttered popcorn, get that giant slurpee, sugar yourself up with a large movie-sized Raisinettes and Milk Duds and lay back in your easy chair to remember what it was like to go to the movies or watch Batman on the daily serialized TV Show. Same Bat Time! Same Bat Channel!

Batman............don't look for Christian Bale or Ben Affleck
I was in high school when the original Batman TV show came on, and I can't tell you what a big deal it was. As I recall, it was broadcast 2 nights a week. The was eons of course before VCR or DVR so either you had to be there or you missed it. I think if we missed it, we would go to school and ask our friends what we'd missed. (My parents only had black and white TV in those days.)It didn't take long for the novelty to wear off, however and the TV show was canceled within a couple of years. This movie version was in theaters during that time but I don't think I ever got around to seeing it and may have seen it when they started issuing movies on VHS, which would have been in the late 70's or early 80'sI saw that it's on Amazon Prime so took time to watch it and wow, is it ever dumb. But it's just like the TV show in that way. Really bad acting (supposed to be) and bad special effects and silly story. You need to see it once. That's all.

Totally enjoyable, camp movie of TV's Batman
I never realized how very funny the writing was for the 1966 movie. I remember it being very camp (a stigma that movies about comic book heroes had to endure for some time), but having watched it again last night for the first time in many a year, I found myself laughing at a lot of its outrageous gags (one of my favorites was when they report they are just passing the Benedict Arnold Monument, like someone in America would build a monument to Arnold, LOL).The picture quality for the Blu-ray high def release is excellent, with vibrant colors and the audio is good. There are a number of extras that fill out the disc. There are two commentaries, one by screenwriter Lorenzo Semple, Jr., and the other with Adam West and Burt Ward. There is a short featurette with George Barris, creator of the Batmobile. An interactive map of locations can be played while watching the movie, and while the map spotlights can jump from Santa Barbara (for the wharf where Batman runs with the bomb) to the studio in Culver City where interiors were shot there is an option to pull up factoids, photos, and map directions to the locations. There are featurettes on the heroes and the villains, and more. All in all, a fun Blu-ray disc to purchase.

The old ones are the best!! My grandson enjoys this so much
The old ones are the best!!My grandson enjoys this so much. He is 4. There is no thought process needed. Where there is a bomb it has the letters b-o-m-b spelled out on it. The shark repellent is so hilarious as is the rubber shark fixed on batman's knee and, which later throws itself in front of a torpedo to save the duo. I never tire of watching something I thought was thrilling in my younger days to how simplistic I see it now. (Aahh memories.)I would recommend to any parent or grandparent. The innocence of this crime fighting duo is to be applauded. No drugs or violence or swearing, and of course you could never guess who the people are without their masks on!! ( my grandson wasn't certain, but thought he was so clever when he guessed correct) All the family love it. GREAT BUY 11/10 FANTASTIC PURCHASE ENJOYMENT 11/10

Holy High-Definition Batman!!!
Had upgraded the complete series of Batman from DVD to Blu-Ray, so just had to do the same with the movie as it's as much part of Batman '66 as anything else! Haven't watched it yet but have just finished viewing Season One of the show in High-Definition so the movie is next! Nice to see that all of the special features from the DVD special edition have been ported over ( I think), to this Blu-Ray, as well as quite a few new ones including a second commentary with Lorenzo Semple, Jr who was the movie's screenwriter as well as the best and most gifted writer on the series, and also the show's script editor on all 3 seasons. Favourite line of the movie is Batman catching Riddler, Penguin, Joker and Catwoman in on the act, and the Cowled Crusader saying in complete contempt and utter disgust - "STOP! You FILTHY CRIMINALS!!!" 😂

When Batman was Fun.
This movie is so wittily scripted and beautifully camped up that it's a treat on many levels.Hadn't seen it for 30 or more years and I think I enjoyed it more this time, the picture and sound quality is excellent. It's a shame Batman has become such a dark ,serious character over the years watch this and remember when he was fun ; Adam West is a pure class act along with the rest of the cast.

Love it! Watched Batman as a small boy growing up in the early 70's. I loved it back then. But, as a Teenager, I didn't get it. Thought it was cheesy and camp. (What did I know?) Then, as I got older I realised (through re-runs on the telly) that it was meant to be like that. It's all things to all people. A Superhero to the Kids. And a great laugh to the adults. Anyway, after hearing about the T.V Series being released next week (for the first ever time on any format, and in a limited Blu Ray edition with all 120 Episodes) I thought I should buy the film to make sure I was right (didn't really sit all the way through the re-runs) before ordering the expensive Box Set. I needn't have worried. Watched it twice already. Had me laughing all the way through. Can't wait till next week!

Holy Smoke Batman 💨💨💨
Arrived early. What is there into dislike about this early Batman film. Absolutely nothing. Fantastic from beginning tonight through to the ending. Has all the original villains. Watch this several times growing up and loved it so purchased it to watch with my 8 year old son who thought it was brilliant 😃👌
