This is a steel shaft just like it says.Install one end clip while you have it off, have fun banging the second one on after it is on the trailer.

Not a whole lot to review here. I needed to replace my 8" rollers so I decided to replace the shafts as well. The shafts obviously need to be longer than the roller, so I bought the 9 1/4" shaft for the 8" rollers and they fit perfectly.The rollers I used were: C.H. Yates Rubber 8000 8-Inch Heavy Duty Marine Keel Roller with 5/8-Inch Shaft
