Hydro FlaskWide Mouth Lids- Accessory for Wide Mouth Water Bottle

At first I thought this was a great cap for my coffee bottle. Then it started leaking. So I disassembled it to try to clean it, only to find that it had so many components, that even after disassembling nearly everything and scrubbing the heck out of them, the coffee stains remained on the silicone. And tonight, I discovered yet another o-ring, which I can't get to, to scrub as well.When the cap is screwed to its closed position the vent hole still retains whatever liquid was on the inside. It ended up staining my bag. So I started blowing out whatever liquid was inside the vent hole, but that really didn't do any good. So I got one of those rubber boots hydro flask sells to use that as a secondary cap. Good thing I bought it in a store; it's got a suction hole. I'm not going to return it because it does serve its purpose as a boot, but my intended purpose was to make it a backup cap to stop the "closed" leaks.Update +6 months later: because I couldn’t get it thoroughly cleaned, I stopped using it for several months. Then I discovered it had the right quantity of flow to drink water instead of coffee. So it’s back in use for my water bottle on my desk at work. Once it goes on sale again, I’ll probably buy another one because this one still tastes like coffee.

I bought the 22 oz hydroflask with the flip-top lid mainly for coffee and tea at work. Two things wrong with it: the lid constantly dripped from the air pressure hole and no carrying handle. The first one was enough of a deal breaker that I stopped using the my hydroflask since I didn't like showing up to meetings with coffee stains on my blouse or constantly having to wipe up the conference room tables. Was going to purchase the regular wide-mouth handle lid, but darn it, I really wanted the convenience of some type of sipping lid. Lo and behold, the new sip lid! It has been perfect for coffee, not a drip in sight. Where it shined even more was out on our hikes this past week. I could carry it by the handle for the shorter hikes and take a quick sip of cold ice water whenever I needed it without having to unscrew the top. I'm perpetually clumsy, so the only downside so far as been when I've tripped or fallen, if the hydroflask hits the ground, you end up with dirt around the lip where you drink out of. One other issue is that you have to twist the lid to either open or close, which means potentially germ-ridden fingers touching where your mouth goes. Given that we're mostly at home or out in the wilderness with sanitized hands, I'm okay with the convenience trade-off.

I used to have the older style with the small flap to access your coffee. It began to leak because the gasket had worn out. I'm glad I got the updated lid. I still have my favorite coffee mug, and the lid design is so much better. The twist to close feature doesn't spray coffee everywhere. The whole thing comes apart for easy cleaning. The lid also holds heat so much better. The coup de grace.... It has a handle. I can carry it WITH ONE FINGER! As a mom... This is a game changer. My mom life has improved tenfold from this lovely addition to my hydro flask.

I wanted something that I could drink out of without a straw and without taking a lid off, but could also be spill proof if carried on it's side or upside down. This lid is easy to disassemble to clean out. I THINK it's dishwasher safe, but I would say research before trying it in a dishwasher. My wife or I just hand wash it, so we've never tried it in the dishwasher. Would recommend if you don't like straws, taking off lids each time you want a drink, but still want to not spill.

Leaks at times but is easy to use and drink out of.

I bought this so my husband could use his 24 oz sipping flask for hot beverages too! It works great and fits like an original.

This lid is great for coffee on the go. It keeps pressure inside of my mug, constant almost all day and keeps the temperature fairly consistent as well. The durability and the value of the materials that it’s made out of is great. Hydro flask knew exactly what to do with their own product. I would not recommend getting an aftermarket product for a Hydro flask as this lid fit perfectly

Love these lids. Locks the bottle down securely when closed so there are no leaks. Opens easily and there are no caps to keep track of, everything stays attached to the bottle.

My Klean Kanteen "wide mouth" water bottle is over 10 years old now and I'm only now wanted to buy a sip lid for it. However the brand isn't popular anymore and the sip lid has been discontinued so I thought I was out of luck. Fortunately this one fits perfectly and is very easy to disassemble and clean.

I'm the kind of person who likes to include ice in their water and for me personally, this lid is the best way to have ice in your Hydroflask. I've seen a few mentions of other people's lids leaking but for me, this hasn't been an issue, the cup includes a handy red marker to indicate when the lid is fully closed to avoid any leakage. I've tried the other line of hyrdroflask lids and for me, this has been the best one yet.
