Very nice hitch lock, the keys are what I would consider correct for this application so won't have issues with mud down the road, although hasn't seen any inclement weather yet but still works smooth & looks great. The keyed-area protective cover/boot fits very snug to keep out the elements. Only dislike is large amount of open space on one side, a previous reviewer mentioned this as well. For $3 I ordered a box of 20, 5/8-inch diameter rubber hose gaskets & placed 5-6 to take up space & to keep from any banging or vibration, seems to work just fine. Needed the hose gasket seals anyways.

I use them on two of my trucks, one is an utility working vehicle i use everyday for work, it hauls a trailer and no issues. The second is for off-roading and the dust cap gets no dust or mud. Good quality stuff.Update:Purchased October 2021, it’s currently August 2022 and have had zero issues with quality. No bending, and the dust cap has had zero problems with dust getting in the locks mechanism. Have definitely abused my hitch on my work truck and personal offroad truck.Would continue to use this hitch pin as my primary pin

It looks to be a good lock/pin for my Tacoma. It is too long ,So as someone here suggested, I used hose washers to make it fit snug. I put it on a few days ago, happy right now. Before I put it to use I soaked the innards in Frog Lube. Will come back in six or right months, well into winter with how it is.This was first reviewed late June 2020. It is now march 23, 2021. This lock has not been touched until today. It has been subjected to rain, car washes and the icy nasty slush of winter and salt. Put the key in it a few minutes ago and it worked like new. When it came apart there was a bit of green, probably from salt, but no rust and no hangups at all. I did wipe it down and put more Frog Lube in and on it. Good stuff. Glad I bought the lock.

Bought this lock (3) months ago and no sign of rust! Bought it mainly to hold a tailgating grill that I made. The key is bigger than locks I've had before, but whatever..My only issue with these types of locks is that they tend to slide left to right and back... So, I put a small hose clamp on it to keep it from moving. But it's not needed, just my own retentiveness.Be sure to keep one key in the house and one in your vehicle!! Not both in one place!
