All of the fashion--none of the shame!
The problem with reviews for most clothes on Amazon is they're written for ridiculously in-shape guys who want that nightmarish term known as "athletic cut". Eff that. Just because you can't finish a pint of Haagen Daz all in one sitting doesn't make you special. Reality is knocking on the door, people: Matthew McCoughnehey looks nothing like every other Lincoln driver in America! For big guys like me who actually exist in this universe with excess baggage in the front, there is a legit difficulty with keeping shirts tucked in. Cmon...they're dress shirts for crying out loud-- you're going to wear them tucked in! As a side note, most of you slighter folks might say "Well, if you just wore the dress shirt normally at your waist, this wouldn't be a problem. However, as most of my corpulent comrades can testify, we are on what Kevin James called the "second waist". And if I try to put it above there, not only am I buying pants waist sizes that are coming close to the scores on the leaderboard at the Masters, your pants run the risk of falling down. Likewise wearing pants to your natural waist when you're this big makes you look like a 1920s politician. So don't even go there! If manufacturers just took the extra material and just made them long enough to be safe, this wouldn't be a problem. Most, however, do not, unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for a custom shirt or pack up your last shred of humanity and go to an "XXL" type store. We all know what Rodney Dangerfield said about that in Back to School, right?Thankfully, these shirts arrived high quality, and--as should be--if you order it a bit longer in the sleeves and your correct neck size, the shirt will not embarassingly fall out making you look like a bigger slob than you already are (insert nervous laugh). Thankfully, this is remedied by buying a shirt with a slightly longer sleeve (in my case, 38-39), thus ensuring a plenty-long shirt for adequate coverage. Taking a hit for the team in the arms isn't such a big deal when your shirt is comfortable, fits well and for God's sake gives you some dignity back getting up from sitting down at a meeting without fussing to make sure your shirt isn't falling out and you look like a rotund 8 year-old itching to get out of their First Communion suit while Aunt Edna from Des Moines who smells like mothballs and Parliaments is trying to plant a sloppy kiss on their cheek. And what's more, they are reasonably priced and come in great color selection and amazingly even give you the extra two collar stays--because we all know how hard those are to find after you do your laundry during a drunken football Sunday and forget to take them out of the shirt! Finally, someone spoke about it's fairly athletic cut, which is somewhat true. But even as a big guy, you don't want too loose, because at some point you're going to come to the realization that Kurt from accounting already secured a date with the hot new broad from sales who gets flirty after just two shots of Fireball because he was able to run a 5k through fire and barbed wire with her, while you think just tying your sneakers should be a new Olympic event this summer in Rio. With the wrong shirt that's too loose in the gut, once you start losing a few, you'll quickly look like Parker Lewis Can't Lose. Does ANYONE remember that show?In summary, if you are a bigger guy worried about the shirt coming out because body by Golden Corral, get this shirt a size or two bigger on the sleeves and the same collar size and you should be kosher. Godspeed, my future Lipitor-taking brethren!

Big and Tall and really long armed? Here's a shirt!
I don't know anything about the reputation of the Modena brand, but knowing Amazon's return policy, I thought it was worth taking a chance. My husband is a big/tall guy with "gorilla arms". It is tough to find shirts in lengths of 38, 39, 40, at least for guys who aren't basketball player skinny. Worse, a lot of manufacturers seem to fudge on these lengths, or produce shirts where the arms shrink up embarassingly after the first wash. (Ask me about a flannel shirt from a company whose name rhymes with "String Prize.")The first I got of these for him was a 40/41", but guess what? It seriously is a 40/41" even after the wash, so a bit long. Lesson learned, and my next order was 2 in the 38/39" length. Not wrinkle "free" like many shirts now tout, that's the only drawback, but pulling from the dryer still damp makes a big difference to how much work it takes to keep it nice looking. Also pleased so far with color retention. The world of big and tall seems to break down to really expensive stuff and really cheap, some from big names that nonetheless still don't really "get" etailing or ship timely or let you checkout without having a whole bunch of other junk pitched at you - in a word, sleaze. It's very nice to see Amazon breaking into the big & tall market, and I hope to see a greater variety of stuff from Modena in the future.

Good shirt, Good value
So far I really like the value for the price of these shirts - I'm 6'2" and about 350 lbs and have a long torso and arms. I ordered a 22 neck with 38/39 sleeves (the fit is a bit large, but that's what I wanted). I really appreciate that I could find longer sleeve lengths in the bigger size that I need. This shirt body is plenty long and not having sleeves that get pulled halfway up my forearm when I reach for something is appreciated. I'm only giving 4/5 stars since I can't speak to the durability yet... I have a Modena shirt in a smaller size that lasted me quite a few years and this shirt seems of similar quality so I'm hoping this follows suite.

but the color and comfort level were good. A fairly decent quality shirt for the price
I'm not a huge guy, but I need a huge neck size with my no neck, huge shoulder build. I'm 6', 280lbs and normally wear an XL or 2X T-shirt, but I have to buy dress shirts this size for the neck. Unfortunately, no one makes a "slim fit" version of 4X shirts, so I'm stuck getting these unless I get something custom made.I'd guess this shirt was probably made for a 350-400lb man. That said, the shirt was as expected, gargantuan in size, but the color and comfort level were good. A fairly decent quality shirt for the price. Untucked it basically came down to my knees, so no issue with length either. The neck was still a bit snug so I had a use a collar extender, but I didn't even want to find out how obnoxiously big the 21" neck shirt was. I won't count that against it though, I knew what I was getting.

Very pleased with the fit of these shirts
The collar fit as expected, the sleeves were the length and fit as specified. The girth was generous enough to fit around a large middle--this was important because many "big and tall" items of clothing will fit in neck, or waist, or length, but be cut too slim to fit large thighs and calf dimensions or tummies. Very pleased with the fit of these shirts. The fabric is not the tissue thin type that is sometimes the norm of large shirts; it felt neat and substantial.Have not yet had the opportunity to launder and test the wrinkle resistance. Overall so far, very pleased.

Color is deep and quality made. Great shirt for the price.
The fabric is well stitched and the color is deep. Appears to be a solidly made shirt. The collar is thicker and the buttons are well sewn. Have purchased many shirts from Modena brand and well satisfied with the quality. They wear well for a long time and maintain their color and quality. A great shirt for the price and I recommend it.
