Caframo Limited Work'n Play Portable Boot & Glove Boot Dryer

I was really hoping this was going to be a good dryer. It worked for two months, then the fan stopped running. While it worked it did just fine, even with the heat off. FYI, the failure came after an evening of using heat.Please keep in mind that this DOES NOT shut itself off! A serious drawback!My HotTronic lasted MUCH longer, but I DID have to repair it four times. You would think somebody would make one that actually works and lasts for a reasonable time!

I bought two of these for Christmas presents. Both by granddaughter in her twenties and my son in his forty's loved them.

Worked great for my needs of a boot dryer I could travel with. Took a while to dry ski boots, but none the less, did a good job!Update: 3/2016: Used one time last year (when item was purchased), then when using this year, seems like air flow much weaker and not heating up as well. Bummer. Worked well for one trip!

Got one last Dec for ski trip and only lasted 4 days. Got a replacement from them but ski season was almost over. Just used it this week and only worked 1 day! Threw it away and would not waste my money on it and no one else should either. Trying something else.

I bought two of these back in June 2015used weekly from sept to dec and then again in Mar and April 2016unfortunately one has died - the lights go on so power is getting through but the fan no longer worksThe other one is still working greatI love how portable these are as we often travel and need to use them on the go - work great for gloves tooShame one broke - considering the cost I didnt expect that

The first one I received was broken...one of the mitten extensions was jammed and would NOT extend. Exchanged it for a second one....this time the boot extension was broken. Neat concept, but after returning them both, I gave up.

I have had one of these for many years and my unit is still going. Extra points for having something so portable that can do boots AND gloves. It is great for skiing as it is compact and fits well in my bag. Blows gentle warm air, it sounds like a hairdryer, but doesn't warm up as much. Only difficulty I have with mine is that my glove extensions don't lock in the extended position so when I put the gloves on they often retract. I would get another one when the time comes, have not seen anything else as portable that does boots and gloves at the same time.

Worked OK for about 5 days then just quit. I was planning on returning it anyway because of how loud it was.

Very loud, blows cold air, cheap design. Also in the picture it shows long tubes that fit in the boot, in reality they are very short and dont fit down the boot.

This is a really cheap product. The first on I got had a defect - one glove extension did not hold and sided back in all the time. So I got the replacement and now both glove extensions do not hold. It dyes quite well though. No timer - so you have to keep an eye on it and switch it off when the work is done.So basically you get what you pay for.

I bought this boot and glove dryer for my son as a Christmas present, because he recently got a job working on the local mountains as a liftee and I was tired of having his boots and gloves covering all the furnance vents in the house. It works great overall, but now that we have had the unit for just over a month, probably used it about 4 days a week for 6-8 hrs to dry the boots, it now sounds like the bearings are going with a loud scretch. Still working but I can only guess that one day it will just stop.To bad there was no way to contact the seller on Amazon as, I would like to see if they recommend any sort of repairs.
