Very good power strip outlet. Hard to find one with 20 sockets all in one row. Great for many needs and uses.
The Tripp Lite 20 outlet Bench & Cabinet Power Strip was a very good purchase. It is 60 inches long. It is well constructed and very solid. The strip can be wall mounted with included mounting brackets. It has a sturdy all-metal extruded aluminum housing. The power strip has a toggle on/off switch that is lighted, and the power switch has a clear flip cover to protect it. There are 20 receptacle sockets, and they are equally spaced along the power strip. The sockets are standard US 3-prong sockets. The sockets are nice and tight. You have to push to insert the power plug into the socket which is nice. They are very firm. They are 120V AC receptacles. The power strip has a very long thick power cord. The power cord measures approximately 15 feet in length. The power strip has a 15 amp circuit breaker. This is a wonderful power strip. I was looking hard to locate one that hand enough outlets and was long in a single strip. I found it on Amazon and at a fairly good price. If you have Amazon Prime, the 2-day Free shipping is very nice. This is great for workshops or aquarium set-ups or toy train set-ups. It is good for any situation where you will have a lot of power cords. in one area.I purchased one for under my entertainment stand cabinet so I could easily plug-in all the power cords from various different audio and video electronics as well as my cable box, modem and phone. It made it so easy. I twist-tied up each cable to shorten their lengths, and everything is very neat with nothing tangled or mixed up.I definitely recommend this power strip. It is available from Tripp Lite in various strip lengths and in various outlet quantity.

Awesome!
I love these large, commercial power bars, and this one is my favorite so far. I also own a generic one I got at home depot, and one from a company called Prime that I picked up at Orchard Supply Hardware, but this Tripp Lite PS4816 16-Outlet Power Strip 15-Amp, 15-Foot Cord is by far the coolest.1) Tons of outlets. 16 on a single strip! I'm a huge computer nerd, running a full tower, three displays, five gazillion external drives & various and sundry accessories.2) More organized cords! Endlessly chaining traditional power strips together is both tiresome and unsightly. This keeps everything on a single strip.3) Mountable. I see from other reviewers that some don't receive mounting hardware, but I did and it works great. I screwed mine into the underside of my desk surface, and it really helps to hide the clutter and makes it easier to clean the floor.4) Very tight sockets. This is actually an advantage. Since my strip is mounted under the surface of the desk, power cords, bricks, etc., some of them quite heavy, are all dangling from the bar. The tight fit of the sockets holds them lock-solid.5) Well constructed. It feels like a quality piece of hardware. The power switch is inside a flip-cap that prevents you from accidentally bumping it off. The cord is heavy - feeling more like a quality power tool than a regular extension cord. There's only one thing I would change. I wish the individual sockets were rotated 90°. It would be a bit non-standard, but the advantage would be that most power bricks would stick out to the side rather than block the adjacent socket. (If you get a strip with fewer sockets, you'd probably have enough space between each that it wouldn't matter so much.)I paired this strip with a product from Ikea called "signum," and it keeps all my cables tucked tightly under the rear surface of my desk, with nothing dangling on the floor or down the wall. This setup works so well, I got a second one for my girlfriend and she's out posting pictures of it all over the web.

One of life's little pleasures is having enough outlets, right where you need them.
These are great! One of the highest density plug strips I've found, along with being well made. The 15' cord is a little excessive, but generally it is a good problem to have. Beats having a 3' cord that one must immediately add an extension cord to. Technically that is against NEC, so if you are using this in an environment where you have a code compliance person on staff then you'll be happy to have the long cord. If you don't mind wrecking the UL certification, cut the cord to length and put a right-angle plug on the end, such as a Leviton 8215-CAT. Those are great to make things tidy and reduce chances of the cord getting knocked out of the wall. That particular style of right-angle plug allows you to have the cord come out of the connector at most any angle, which can be convenient for all sorts of reasons. Tip: If you do decide to use such plugs, read and follow the instructions for prepping the conductors carefully. The conductors will vary in length depending on the angle you select for the cord to emerge, and if you don't carefully cut them, you'll never get the cover on.Most of the big-box strips of this sort have sockets of poor quality. These seem robust and like they will hold up well over time. The only strips I've found with better receptacles are of the WireMold / PlugMold brand. But they don't make any strips with this kind of density. It would be nice as another reviewer observed, to have the outlets rotated 90'. It would help prevent collisions when trying to plug in lots of wall warts. As it is, having so many outlets means it is fairly easy to move cords and warts around to make them all fit. If this still presents problems for you, search Amazon for "power strip liberators".The mounting clips can be positioned anywhere along the strip, which is handy. Easy and non-critical placement makes mounting a cinch. Attach the clips to the strip, hold against the surface, mark the edges of the clips, then remove and mount the clips. The covered switch is nice, and the illuminated status is visible even with the cover closed. Finally the pricing, especially for a product of this quality, is great.Negatives? The 90' outlet issue is about the only one I can come up with. If you must have receptacles oriented differently, check out Tripp Lite's PS3612RA. Downside is fewer receptacles, and much more expensive! Oh, and to paraphrase H. Ford: You can have any color you want as long as it's silver.Throw one under your desk, behind your entertainment center, on the back and under the front edge of your bench (amazingly handy strategy on a bench to keep cords from crisscrossing all over the place).Great product, great price.

Excelente compra!

Expensive, but very nice product.
I purchased a similar product by another manufacturer for much less money. Hands down the Tripp Lite power bar wins! There is a sense of good contact being made when something is plugged in. The power switch has an opaque cover preventing someone from accidentally turning it off but still being able to see the power light. Just a solid product all around.

The power bar is fantastic since it accommodated everything in our entertainment center
Use it everyday.Solidly built. The clip that comes with it could be a little stronger (on the tension side) but it is steel so their is no worry about it breaking. The power bar is fantastic since it accommodated everything in our entertainment center, without the fear that cheap alternatives have. I would recommend short (6" cords) for the cords with brick style plugs just to make sure you can use every port.

Did not work out of the box.
Not upset about it, but this product did not work out of the box. I plugged it in to an outlet I knew was live, but the switch in both positions remained dark and none of the outlets worked. No big deal. Returned and will reorder. I like the concept and the construction. I just want one that works next time.
