Hands down my favorite movie of all time! ❤️
If I could give this movie a billion stars I would but sadly have to settle for only 5 ha i've watched this movie easily hundreds of times, it's been my favorite movie ever since I was a kid, I love the 2nd one too but the 3rd one and everything else after is pure trash 🚮 (I actually wanted to be a paleontologist when I was growing up loved everything dinosaur still do but sadly things happened in my life that took me off that path 😕) Which is why I bought the blu ray before getting this i'd either have to rent it or hope it was playing on tv or on one of my streaming services, I even went and saw it in theaters a couple years ago when it was rereleased for its anniversary, I had the VHS as a kid (funnily enough I even still have my VHS player) and was able to watch it that way but it's in storage so next best thing was to just buy it. Really glad I did, came on time, the case and disk are in perfect condition, the HD picture is beautiful and clear. Have no complaints about this purchase whatsoever a really happy girl 😊My fav dinosaur of all time is obviously T. rex 😍 And my opinion on if it was possible to bring dinosaurs back is this: I love dinosaurs and would kill to be able to see one BUT to me it wouldn't feel right doing it because they would be nothing but a side show attraction, the big wigs doing it would only care about money (in the beginning the lawyer says "we'll make a fortune off of this place" that's what I mean, the big wigs wouldn't care about them as living creatures but as a way to make money), wouldn't be treated right, wouldn't be able to live like they're supposed to and want to so I wouldn't be okay with it. I would want to see them in their natural habitat alive and free like they were millions of years ago, if time machines were around i'd be spending all my time in the past no doubt 😂 Also I know theres a lot of people out there who bash this movie for not being "up to date" but remember 1. This movie came out in 1993 a little over 26 years ago so a lot has been discovered since then so of course it's going to be out of date somewhat 2. It's a movie they're meant to be entertaining if you want to watch something that's 100% facts i'd stick to documentaries (but tbh I think that they did an AMAZING job, yeah we now know that T Rex's vision wasn't based on movement they actually had the best vision of any dinosaur possibly even better then any animal alive today including us, they had one of the strongest bite forces of any dinosaur and animal that's ever lived, and had one of the best senses of smell of any dinosaur and possibly better then anything alive today. T. Rex is hands down the coolest and most bad a** animal that's ever lived which is why they're my fav 😏 We also now know that velociraptor wasn't as big as they're shown in the movie but there was raptor species who were that big and obviously diloposaurus didn't have a frill or spit venom amazingly they were actually a lot bigger in real life.. And we also know that a lot of dinosaurs if not all had feathers and without a doubt that birds are descended from them- by the way I don't know about you but it's cool as heck to know that birds are basically mini dinosaurs ha it gives me a whole new respect for birds 😊 Dinosaurs are called non avian dinosaurs aka don't fly and birds are avian dinosaurs aka do fly cool huh 😍)So to sum things up if you love Jurassic park then I highly reccomend getting this! That way you can watch it whenever you want 😊

Not what was advertised in listing.
I just received my package that was supposed to be a 3-Disc Combo Pack (Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray Disc, and DVD) but what I received only came with one disc which was the DVD.

Lot's of action
I have viewed Jurassic Park quite a few times. If I did not like it I would not have. This will be my last time though. It just is not an enjoyable movie. It is more of a Horror Movie than action. It is full of peril, bloody scenes and Dinosaurs doing their thing while humans get in the way. I think the reason the Dino got sick every 6 weeks is because she went into heat and another "female" Dino tried to procreate with her. Some people have mentioned the screen writers never addressed the cause of the sickness. It was mentioned that the book explained. Never read it. Just trying to be funny a little. I would think the plants made her sick. With that said. Moms and Dads this movie is full of very sweet scenes but the violence outweighs those scenes. I say: wait until they are older. My daughters have never seen this movie and have no desire to. It is a good story to teach people why dinosaurs were wiped from the earth. I have watched all of the movies except the last one. The story is just too sad. I like life not death. Good choices not foolish ones. This movie can be fun to watch but only if one is strong enough to watch and then just walk away. I think for many it is seeing what everyone was talking about. Anyway to sum up. Lot's of gory scenes!

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth! One of Spielberg's best movies
It’s been years since I’ve watched the original “Jurassic Park” which premiered way back in 1993 and although I have it on DVD when I saw this Blu-ray edition for a bargain price I jumped on it and watched it again. Despite being nearly 30 years old this Steven Spielberg masterpiece really holds up and is simply fabulous. Stars Sam Neill (Dr. Alan Grant) and Laura Neill (Dr. Ellie Sattler) really sell the sense of awe and wonder you would expect to experience yourself when suddenly witnessing living dinosaurs. Jeff Goldblum is great as mathematician Dr. Ian Malcolm and gets the best lines in the movie such as this exchange with Lord Richard Attenborough as the wealthy park creator John Hammond:John Hammond: All major theme parks have delays. When they opened Disneyland in 1956, nothing worked!Dr. Ian Malcolm: Yeah, but, John, if The Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists. The script is solid, Spielberg’s direction is laser focused and John Williams’ musical score is one of his best producing results that are captivating decades later. Relying less on CGI and more on puppetry the special effects remain remarkably convincing and are as good (or arguably better) than the stuff you see today despite the advances in technology. The T-Rex and Velociraptors are completely terrifying and you will be on the edge of your seat. Bottom line; I still love this movie and will definitely watch it again and again.

Iconic
Jurassic Park is an amazing 90's thriller. Sam Neil plays Alan Grant, a paleontologist, who is invited by John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) to visit his new amusement park, Jurassic Park. At this park, Hammond and his team have developed a way to create dinosaurs. As the movie progresses, Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neil discuss the many problems with the park. This movie has great characters, thrilling action, and epic portrayals of dinosaurs. This is a fantastic movie that everyone needs to see. This is one of my favorite movies and you should definitely pick it up.

Superb audio and video rendering
This story of a mega-successful movie has been seen by most, so I won't describe this, but what puts this Blu-ray rendering above the superior standard of most is the sharpness of the images, wide palette colours and with superb sound. My Toshiba is an older (2013) 32", and I have a 2.1 audio, but this movie is THE best quality. And I have over 155 disks in my library. It looks brilliant, even on my bog-standard telly. It the best technical quality movie I have ever seen. The only other superior transformations of this level of quality are the movies 'Gravity' on DVD and 'Titanic' on Blu-ray. And 'Jaws' on DVD. My Sony Blu-ray does a great job in upscaling DVDs. I bought 'Gravity' on Blu-ray and I could not see any difference between the DVD and Blu-ray disks.

Great 3D effects
I am new to 3D viewing and understand from previous reviews that this film wasn't shot in 3D, but has been modified to 3D since. If that is the case, then they have certainly made a great job of it. Hopefully, they will soon do the same thing to the 2nd and 3rd films in this series (the 4th already being available in 3D and that is due to arrive in the next few days). I would highly recommend Jurassic Park to anybody (like myself) dipping their toes into 3D viewing.

great 3d conversion of a big monster film from the 90s.
Amazing conversion of a great movie. The depth is out of the screen. I could see no ghosting. The 3d however they did was brilliant. People walking out in front of the screen when they did in the original movie. This gave an extra element of depth and meaning to the plot. The dinosaurs look great. They only qualm and it was a minor qualm. The film didn't appear to be as clear as modern HD movies. I am not sure if this due to the age of the film. When I mean clear some images were not as sharp as I would have expected for an HD movie. This could be just me. But this was a very very very minor issue. The conversion is selling point to a film great. I would compare the conversion to the Wizard of Oz. I am not going to review the film as we know what happens and it is an oldish film.

Jurassic Park 3d
I'm certainly no expert on the technicalities of 3d film construction and the conversion process from 2d. All I can say is that, on my new Samsung 40" TV, this film looks fabulous! This is my first ever 3d film using active spectacles (the old passive red/blue green filter system put me off completely) and I was amazed at the image clarity, stunning, throughout. Some reviewers have indicated that there are few opportunities for those 'screen popping' moments in Jurassic Park; I didn't feel at all cheated. I wasn't disappointed because the added 3d depth kept me glued to the movie at all times, even in scenes that are relatively static - it really has been cleverly converted. I recommend this film without hesitation - it amazed me from start to finish! If other 3d films are as well done as this one then I can hardly wait to see them.

Good quality conversion
Viewed on 100" screen with Epson 6600 LCD projector. For film not originally shot in 3D, it is surprising how many shots lend themselves to the 3D experience - even Spielberg admits on the extras that he must have had one eye on a 3D film. The 3D works well, although its not super obvious - no waving stuff towards the camera. The image is crisp and the blu ray transfer appears well done (although there is one longish scene with Jeff Goldblum with a massive lens / light flare on the screen). Weirdly the extra detail does make the dinosaurs look a little less 'real', but not overly so.The film itself most people know. Looks a little dated in places, but well executed. The extras section is quite interesting as it deals with how the 3D was achieved (you do get the impression that a company has approached the studio / producers and sold them the idea though - not that that is bad, because its done well). How much involvement Spielberg had is questionable, but he turns up in the extras.
