Groovv Terminal One - Credit Card Processing Terminal with EMV and Apple Pay

This terminal is Great. Very easy to use. Set up was fast. Most importantly the customer support is fantastic. Really helpful caring people that are there for you when you need them. Having the chip reader is important as you will pay more for transactions if you run a card with a chip and don't have that technology. Having the print out is great. I run mine off the phone line and this works good. When I bring in internet I will be switching to that for my connection. There are No hidden fees with this. Strait up front. My other merchant account had fees for everything and I cancelled them immediately in favor of the Groovv after reading and researching this for some time. I'm really glad that I did.

Terminal was easy to set up and simple to use, however most are 99% of card readers. Worked great for the beginning of my business however they limit the amount of credit card sales you can use each month. I had one large purchase over 1,000 they put a hold on my account which included the rest of the batches that didn’t even involve the large purchase. They failed to notify me that there was even an issue let alone the fact that they were not sending the money to my account. After calling to resolve the problem (problem was that I was using gift certificates not provided by them which is not stated in any of their policies) they told me that option 1. They cancel the purchase and I need to find a different source of payment from them or option 2. I wait SIX MONTHS to receive the money from the payment. Wound up switching card machines to merchant one, lower rates, lower monthly charges, no maximum allowed purchases.

The customer support is truly amazing. I can't say enough good things about almost every staff member I've encountered. TI know this because I've spent a LOT of time talking to customer support! It took two weeks, several phone calls, and emails, to get a log-in for our transaction account, and then they had to reset the password (not reusable!) to get information to load. I still can't find a graph for some of the info, although it's in the system elsewhere. Our reader died within three weeks of receipt. That led to another phone call and days without a card reader. Then, there are the surcharges. I am still trying to understand what some of the $0.02 surcharges are for. Granted, it's all of $0.02, but that adds up across a year!Also, do note that some of the 5 star reviews are not from verified purchasers.

I LOVE this credit card machine. I have had SO many phone calls since opening my business in April wanting me to switch to another credit card processing company. I always hang up on them. They can not give me the deals I get with this machine and there is ALWAYS A CONTRACT!! With this, there is NO contract and its a great price for this machine. HIGHLY recommend this machine, I have never had any problems with it either.

The groovv people are horrible at support. Machine works one day and one day it doesn't. It is great pricing but that's where the greatness stops. And forget about checking online for transactions and support there.

Great product

This is a great replacement for Square! I have had no problems at all setting it up and it has worked perfectly since day one. The $15 a month is not a big deal for me as that's less than I spend on coffee in a week anyway. The Apple Pay acceptance is nice, but the EMV setup is not great. It will not let a customer enter a PIN at all. If the card is PIN preferring, it will simply reject it and force a swipe, it's not a big deal as customer service said they will cover any fraud or issues in this case as it is rare, but I do with they would get the key injection so PIN works.
