This is a great toy and the variety of creatures that Holztiger provides makes these an excellent alternative to plastic action figures for feeding your children's imaginations when they come of age to really play with their toys. And the large ones make excellent teething toys until then!Some of the Holztiger line up is made of smaller figurines that I would be hesitant to give to a small child, but the shark and the tyrannosaurus rex are both plenty large enough for a teething child and both have been big hits with my 7 month old son.

Love this dinosaur despite it not being the one pictured. Ours is green but mouth is closed. Also very dinged up.

Purchased as a gift for my son's third birthday. He loved it! It's still a favorite. We now own an other Holtztiger Dinosaur as well. My kids love them. Well made and durable.

This toy is one of my sons favorite. It was in his stocking from Santa clause and it has held up so well over the months. It is well made and adorable. One of his faves!

These dinos are sturdy, smooth, and stand up well. These are a great gift. We have several Holztiger dinosaurs, and they are pretty sturdy, but they can break if thrown, and they glue back together well with wood glue and a clamp. We prefer Ostheimer wooden figures for their shapes and lightly painted look, but Holztiger have a coated that protects the finish, and they make dinosaurs which Ostheimer does not (or did not at the time of purchase).
