Brief but Good
I read a lot of books about the dog breeds I am interested in. While not as comprehensive as some, this is a good introduction to the breed. The author is very clear about the disadvantages of the Newfoundland, which is essential in any dog book. No one breed is perfect for everyone.I like that the possible illnesses are discussed succinctly. It's a great resource if time is short. The author is British, but tries to include information about US dogs.If you've considered getting a Newfoundland, this is a good start. I would suggest doing a lot more research before making your decision.
