A multi-function booster effect, the Sonic Shaper emphasizes specific Harmonics of the input signal to achieve a variety of useful results. By boosting certain overtones, the SS-3 allows the user to stand out in an ensemble or mix without having to change their volume. At different control positions the SS-3 can also be used as an acoustic simulator or to boost the overall output volume without any distortion.

Boosts & Cleans up those Muddy Tones!
I was a bit hesitant on getting this, as there were little to no reviews, but this is now my favorite pedal on my board! I have an Epiphone Junior Valve half stack, which is a pretty cool little 5W tube amp. (It only has one knob, volume.) Without pedals, it's a bit dull/muddy...This pedal really brings out the best sound I can get out of my amp. I'm not a gearhead, so I can't technically explain or break it down. I only know that it gives me a super clean, bright, and responsive tone without distortion. My tone is night and day with this pedal and the design is quite genius - no pedal noise! It has a small footprint, but it will give you big results. If this ever broke or got lost I would buy another one in a heartbeat. You'll be hard pressed to find a better clean boost pedal under $100 - got this for $40. What a steal!

Nope, not a pedal.
Upon initial inspection, it was easy to determine that it's definitely not a guitar pedal. It's definitely some sort of tin kettle whose label implies it's useful for cooking shrimps (gleaned from photo only as I could not read the asian language print on the label). Nowhere on the unit can one "plug in" an instrument cable - but I assure you, I could pour a cable into this kettle, assuming it's no greater than 10 feet long... but I doubt it would alter the tone.To recap: not a guitar pedal, not made by Guyatone, certainly not "micro," and it definitely doesn't sonically shape anything.
