This bushing wrench is aluminum and for durability and function I prefer aluminum over plastic. It is lightweight and strong, large enough to easily use and fits compactly in the pistol case or range bag.

Nice barrel bushing wrench! works great.My Springfield 1911 A1 has a tight barrel bushing that is damn near impossible to move with your thumb or index finger nail. This wrench makes it smooth and easy to remove the barrel bushing now. This wrench seems like it should last a very long time.

Very useful for any 1911 owner
Since purchase, I've used this tool a decent bit, at least once or twice a week, to work on my 1911. Initially I didn't realize that each side was for a different model of gun (The gov and officer models respectively) and was confused as to why one side was shorter and unable to be used, but I have no complaints about that once I understood what was going on, I just wish there was some sort of marking to show which side was which instead of just sticking a side on and seeing if it fits real quick before usage. In terms of what it's for it gets 5 stars, I only give it a 4 because the finish on it is very easily scratched. It is a tool so I am not worried about it overall, but still think in terms of a review it would be unfair of me to not take it into consideration for others.

Great aluminum bushing wrench. If you're worried about scratching your weapon get yourself a plastic one. But if you actually use and carry your 1911; you can't go wrong with this one

I bought one for myself and one for my brother. It fits perfectly and makes it easy to break down and re-assemble a 1911. Being aluminum, it isn't apt to scratch anything, but isn't going to stretch or break on a tight or deformed barrel bushing like plastic ones can.

Works great, used on Sig .45
Works great... I was trying to clean my Sig .45 1911 for the first time and could not remove the barrel bushing. Well, I was able to rotate it to about 7:00 before it seized up. This tool came in two days later and saved the day! Very easy to use, and I have small girl hands!
