I finally replaced my grates for Smokey Mountain grates after ten years. Not only was it a great refresh, but I like the hinge option that exists on both the cooking grates.

Perfect fit for replacing our rusted Weber Smokey Mountain 22 smoker grates.

Although not as heavy gauge as OEM grates, it does get a couple improvements over the original. All three grates fit nicely.1. Both upper AND middle grates include handles.2. No more charcoal escaping through the sides of the charcoal grate! On the original grate I would always get a couple of escapee charcoals on the 2 edges of the grate. Not enough to ruin my day but enough to annoy me. THIS replacement includes a couple more bars to eliminate those holes. Hallelujah!We'll see about durability and value. If it rusts or comes apart in short order then I'll come back and blast it accordingly.$62 for a few grates? I know I'm cheap but it does seem a bit much (I guess that's a different discussion.)So, the improvements and the fit earned a 5 star from me. We'll see how it holds up.

My OEM grids were a mess after a couple of years of wear and tear and admittedly poor care by me. By mistake I left them uncleaned in the smoker for a couple of month! Even after I cleaned them they had significant rust and baked on deposits.These replacement grids seem of similar quality and construction as the OEMs, but measure about 10% lighter metal. I measured then with my digital calipers.At about 50% of the cost of the OEM replacement grids they seem a very good value.

I just got these to replace my Weber smoker corroded grates. I estimate the weight to be approximately half of the Eber originals. I'll give them a chance. I don't see any obvious problem areas. They fit fine. I like having handles on the lower grate. The original has no handles.

Bought a used Weber Smokey Mountain 18”. These replacement grates work like a charm. I’m not sure how long they will last but so far so good. Much cheaper than buying OEM

These grates are a perfect fit for my 18” Weber Smoky Mountain smoker. They seem to be really close to the originals. I held them side by side. They feel about the same weight and durability.

I purchased this grate to accommodate the recent purchase of the charcoal vortex for my 22" Weber kettle.. This grate has a circular cut-out in the center to perfectly align with the dimensions of the Vortex allowing to add coals., It also has two hinged openings on the sides to also allow access to the charcoal area to add or arrange coals. It was just a little less thick than the original Weber grate so gave it only 4 stars on sturdiness but it is not flimsy.
