Q: Does this now come with a shoulder strap?

No and the handle broke off the first week I had it.

Q: How do you set/change the combinations on the locks?

On each lock, inside the case, you will find a small lever or post. Move the post to the opposite side of the lever slot and then choose a new combination on the outside. Once you return the lever back to it's current or locked position your combination will be set. You might also contact the manufacturer for that information!

Q: will it fit a 17 inch laptop

I believe it will fit up to 17". I have a 15.6" laptop with space on the sides to spare when inside. I think you could get it in nice and snug.

Q: Are the hinges very sturdy? I bought another brand and it hasn't lasted a year! ba

I have had my solo now for nearly 2 years & no problems looks nice & good inside remember when you put your security lock number in put it in your phone or book
