Great stand, based on the price/quality of the product
This review is based on the price/quality of the product. Although it seems pretty well made, nonetheless this is plastic and probably won't hold up long term under active use, would probably break if you schlep a speaker on it.However it's really light, folds up very compactly, a little bigger than a folding umbrella, and fits into my gig bag easily, way more convenient to haul than any other stands I use, which I often don't bring because of the awkwardness of most. I've used it for my electric and acoustic guitars and it holds either pretty well.

Works great with acoustic and electric instruments.
This is a great guitar stand. Works with acoustic guitars, banjo, electric guitar and base. I stepped on mine in the dark , broke it and immediately ordered two more. The stand packs up small and is very sturdy, if you don't step on it.

Great for an acoustic guitar.
Very nice, compact guitar stand. But I wouldn’t trust it with any of my electrics. This is ideal for an acoustic though. Yes, it has features for any type of guitar—and it will support an electric guitar or bass—I just wouldn’t feel 100% comfortable leaving a Strat, Tele or P-bass on-stage on this stand. The recesses are fairly shallow so one could easily brush past your guitar and knock it out of the stand. Not so sensitive for an acoustic however. 5 stars for acoustic use; 3 stars for an electric.

Small and compact.
It's a small compact guitar stand. Very sturdy, folds up to a small item to carry around.

Ideal for gigs
I play guitar in churches and I got tired of those bulky stands. This is much better. It is a bit larger than a similar, wooden one on Amazon, but works the same way: it folds into a decent stand that will hold an electric or acoustic guitar. It looks like it could easily accommodate a banjo. It appears very durable and sturdy. If you have a guitar case with an outside pocket, it will fit into that with no problem. Of course it will be fine for home use as well.

It can't be used with an open back banjo.
It's hard to find a good 5-string banjo stand, this one lets the banjo lean further back so it's less likely to tip over, it works good for me.
