Deluxe Flexible Stainless Cpap Tube Cleaning Brush (Slimline)

I have only had this brush for a short time so I can’t speak to its longevity. It appears to be very well built with superior materials. Instructions would be helpful for those few who can’t figure out a few elementary points of hou to use it. I am fairly mechanically inclined and the second time I used the brush it took me a total of 5 minutes and ten seconds to clean my cpap hose twice and to hang it up in the shower to drip dry. For those who might be interested here are my suggestions. 1. In order to work properly the brush needs to be slightly larger than the interior of the cpap hose. If it’s too big it won’t go through if it’s too small it won’t properly clean the interior of the hose. 2. To prepare your hose for cleaning first flush it out with warm water using the CPAP manufactures instructions. Next, lubricate the brush with a CPAP soap/disenfectant such as Purdoux as this will clean the tubing but also make the brush insertation and removal much easier. 3. If your cpap hose is open at both ends you can insert the end of the cable that has a loop in it and you can pull the brush through. You may want to secure the opposite end of the hose to keep the hose straight in order to pull the brush through.4. If your hose has a “T” fitting, as mine does, you will need to push the brush through while keeping the hose as straight as possible.

This product arrive quickly, but when I tried to use it today I discovered it does not play well with my ResMed ClimateLineAir slim heated tube. I had to flatten the ring o the end to get it past the insert int the tube end. I then had to get my need nose pliers to grab the end and bend it out the climate control 90 degree angle connector on the other end. Finally, when I started to pull, it bound up and would not come through. I backed off fearing I would damage my heated hose. Didn't work for me.

Finally used it. It was not the easy to use gadget that I hoped for. After fighting to get it in most of the way, (it's not long enough to do all the length of the hose at once,) I tried to push it back & forth. Nearly impossible! Then I tried to pull it out & was afraid I'd break the hose by pulling that hard. Straight in the garbage!

From a distance this looks great but it does not fit a ResMed Airsense 10 heated 15mm hose. Once in in the hose it is very difficult to remove from same said hose. The "handle" is too flexible for any serious scrubbing. Notice how the "handle" looks in the pic. It is not 100% bad, just 80%. It is unlikely to poke holes in the hose.

Shipping was right on time and just as advertised. I had to narrow the pull-ring end of the cable a bit to allow it to easily push through the hose but after that--gangbusters! I now have a greater sense of breathing clean air. I highly recommend this device.

After one minor modification, this thing works great.I took some pliers and closed the ring on the end a very little bit to allow it to fit into the 15mm tube. This way, I could feed it through the entire tubing, and pull it through to clean quickly.

I have used my brush 2 times. I am sure my cpap hose is cleaner than ever. I clean mine in the shower with just a little mild dish soap and run the brush through. I hang it up until bedtime. Easy to do.

This product works great as it is very important to keep your air lines clean from mold or other debris that may get into the air line and eventually into your body. Very happy with this product.
