Do-It-Myself Repair to Home Security System -- No Need to Pay for Service Call
My home security system uses this battery for backup power. Over the 15 years I've had the system, I have had to replace the battery only twice. It was inexpensive, and I was able to do it myself, with no difficulty.

It's a battery that works but low end on longevity
This is my second time purchasing and the first lasted about 2.5 years. It's a battery and it works so my review is limited to how long it lasts.2.5 years doesn't seem that long for this backup rechargeable battery. I would of liked it to be at least 3 years and 4 or 5 years would of been very good.It states it a 1 year warranty so I didn't bother reaching out. Price is average (it actually went up a few dollars since 2021).

Easy first step with AC problems
I returned from a work trip to find that my AC was kicking on and then off a few seconds later... over and over. A little cool air was coming out of the vents... but it was constantly shutting off. I went outside to see what was going on at the unit out there and noticed that the fan was not kicking on. I was able to get it started with the help of a stick sometimes, but not anything close to normal speed. After a quick youtube search, the overwhelming diagnosis was a blown capacitor. So I turned of the breaker both inside and out... to check the capacitor configuration... and found the exact make and model on Amazon for less than $25 delivered with overnight shipping. Figured it was worth a shot. Amazon showed up the next day, and I swapped out the unit in literally 5 minutes (be sure to run a rubber handled screwdriver across the connectors in case there is any leftover charge) after noting the correct location of each wire (I took one off the old, then put it in the same spot on the new... repeat for all 4 connections(should be 3 connectors: HERM, FAN, and a dot... my dot had a second cable on it). Then I flipped the power back on... and all is well again - was so happy to see that fan humming. So maybe consider this as a first step before calling the AC guy for service... which will surely be much more time, $$$, and aggravation.
