Crocodile Creek Horse Backpack

I had to quick buy a backpack when I discovered my new kindergartener's Skip Hop ladybug wasn't wide enough at the top for a standard file folder. I bought a Crocodile Creek because of the reviews indicating it was big enough for a folder but not overwhelming for a little one. Gave my daughter the pick of the line and she went straight for the horse. Size is perfect, quality is decent, and the style is apparently in fashion as every girl's backpack in her class is some combination of pink, berry, and teal. Alas, no holder for her water bottle (an essential because her school lacks a/c). Less than a week of classes and all her papers and her daily folder from the teacher are soaked. The water bottle should have held - I think it wasn't tightened all the way, or the nozzle was left up. If it was upright this wouldn't have happened. I'm perplexed by the mixed responses on whether this has a bottle holder - maybe there was a design change? The pocket in front has some mesh slots and zippers for pencils, a box of crayons, etc. - nice, but not a lot of depth. The main compartment is one open space with no pockets or organizers, and there are no pockets on the outside. Just a tad too simple for. I'm trying to figure out how to rig some elastic on the inside.

My daughter has had this backpack for 5 months. She takes it to school everyday and it is still holding up just fine. She's in transitional kinder so she doesn't have much to put in it. But it holds her lunch bag, homework folder and her school library book. Smaller pocket fits school supplies such as pencil, crayons, etc. The size is perfect for her, not like the larger full size ones.

We bought this for our granddaughter who is almost eight and she loved it. She loves horses and was thrilled to have a horse on the front of this pack. It looks well made.

We love these backpacks. My daughter’s first one lasted through three years of preschool and one year kindergarten. I throw them in the wash when they get dirty. Air dry.

Made it through a whole year of school for my kindergartner and still looks great. Even washed it a few times and it held up great.

This backpack was really cute but soooo small. My daughter used it for first grade and it barely fit her things. Almost more of a toy than an actual backpack.

Bought this for a charity school supplies drive and it's SO cute. I hope whoever gets it loves it! Much cheaper than Whole Foods, where I originally saw it.

My daughter loves horse and this is so cute! It is good quality and a really good value because if you go the the brands actual site it is around 30-40 bucks. Love!
