Most commonly used for safety breakaway lanyards. If you get some that pop at a higher poundage, you would probably need to pop them together by pressing on a hard surface. A person with smaller weaker hands might not be able to close a 10 lb. or stronger pop barrel.

I ordered these before I ordered the Ezer open pop barrels, not very good for Paracord projects like necklaces or bracelets, to hard to close and open. Best bet are the Ezer Open.
