GEORGE KOVACS P4339-647 2 Light LED Swing Arm

I was looking for reading lights for the bedroom and I must say, these deliver a lot of light where we need it. They are every bit as bright as a multi-LED flashlight and can be positioned to essentially any angle that I want. As cataracts begin to develop in my eyes, the distance and angle of the nightstand lamp just weren't cutting it anymore and I get tired of the flakiness of three way bulb mounts, so I was looking for a good alternative. This gives me so much more light. There is even a built-in dimmer, which is good because full strength is blinding (exaggeration) at the distances involved around a bed.Quality of workmanship appears very good. Even so, it may still be overpriced for what it is, but it has no real competition that I could find. It was easy to mount and has the hardware to either screw it into the wall and use the attached power cord or perform a permanent mounting to an electrical box.The only thing keeping it from five stars was that there are illuminated on/off buttons. These illuminate when the lamps are off and are way too bright for being mounted directly above a bed in a dark room. The unit looks like dragon eyes in a dark room and I can imagine may bother small children. Obviously these guys are from the same school of design that make non-dimmable LED alarm clocks. Once I figure out a way to block these nightlights, I will be much happier.Update - I found that by opening the unit up and disconnecting the black and white wires from the on/off switch that I was able to get rid of the annoying lights when the lamps were off. Based on that, I have no issues with the unit and have increased my rating from four to five stars.

Really like the light and the dimmable function. The little lights less than one inch that are on all night do not bother us at all. The only problem is that our headboard is high and it is very hard to manually turn the lights on and off. Sure wish they had pull chains or so easy way to operate. Very well made.

This wall reading lamp is exactly what I needed above our bed for nighttime reading.
