THIS ITEM WAS NOT USABLE IN THE S1240 MODEL FLIP INDICATED
It turned out that although this is the battery used for Flip Model S1240, that particular model is not designed to have the battery changed. There is no way to access the battery compartment to make a change in battery without breaking the unit, as it is not manufactured in a way that makes the battery "changeable". I took the unit to "Geek Squad" for help, and they gave me the "bad news".
