Q: Is this made of 100% stainless steal, or is the part that connects to the mixer aluminium? Also, is this dishwasher safe?

The description implies that it is all stainless steel. The wisk part is stainless steel but the head that attaches to the mixer is not. It was bright and shiny stainless steel looking when I got it. I put it in the dishwasher. When I lifting it out my hand was covered with the black smudge and all the shiny part was gone. Very disappointed in that. The wisk does work well with the mixer. I am reluctant to put it back in the dishwasher again. It took me quite a while to scrub off the black smudge. I don’t know if further use and handwashing will cause the same problem – but I hope not.
