Leaves floors clean
I have polyurethane coating on my hardwood floors, and I bought this cleanser along with the high gloss MinWax Floor Restorer. These worked like a charm!I've since used the cleanser alone for times when my Shark mop just won't cut it. All our floors are marble and hardwood (and this is ONLY a cleanser for wood), and I'd been satisfied with just the Shark for a few years. I didn't imagine I'd use the MinWax cleanser aside from the times I polish the floor with the Restorer, but I was wrong. This product leaves the floor cleaner and newer/nicer than the Shark ever does. It doesn't take away scratches, but the color looks more even and nice.Since I had a hard time figuring out which products to use, I'll share my hints. There are two types of hardwood floors and each has its own way of cleaning.THE TEST: You can test your floor to see if your hardwood is waxed or polyurethane-coated. To do so, spill a few drops of water on your floor. If it beads up, you have poly floors; water will start to sink into waxed floors. Deep cracks in poly-coated floors can absorb water, so it's not advisable to test those areas as water is harmful for bare wood.- Waxed Hardwood: Usually this is only in very old/historic homes. I have no idea how to wax floors, so I'm no help here!- Polyurethane-Coated Hardwood: The flooring in my home was laid about 12 years ago by the previous owner, and with poly coating. You cannot use wax on poly floors or you'll blur them badly. Wax won't ruin poly floors, but it also won't adhere so it'll become a mess to remove. I read that a lot of poly cleansing/restoring sets leave an orange/amber hue, so I bought the MinWax because it doesn't do that.A note on quantity- we have about 1,275 SQFT and after using it three times on the whole lot, my bottle is still quite full.Beautiful floors, I'm glad I bought it!

Finally... the perfect regular hardwood floor cleaner!
I have a couple thousand square feet of Brazilian Ruby Ironwood with an aluminum oxide finish in my home, and every hardwood floor cleaner I tried left a very subtle but visible (at a certain angle) hazy / cloudy finish. It was extremely irritating. This is the ONLY hardwood floor cleaner I have found that leaves NO residue... just a clean finish. My housekeeper uses it to clean our hardwood floors every month, and we are extremely pleased with the results. But what about over time, right? We have been using this exact product - Minwax Hardwood Floor Cleaner - every month for three years (that's 36 applications)... and no residue, no build-up, no problems. Obviously, you must remember to mop up with clean water after using it... and dry your floors... but one quick pass is sufficient... it is easy-to-use. After cleaning the hardwood floors, we use large microfiber towels to dry the water from the floor. I recommend this product with great enthusiasm and my highest level of personal endorsement. There is nothing out there better than this.
