The DVD content is based on National Curriculum Standards and features interviews with political luminaries such as Sam Donaldson, Wesley Clark, Paul Begala, Melissa Harris-Lacewell and many more. Try the interactive whiteboard content on every DVD it s an exciting, competitive game that uses video clips, photographs and quotes to test students understanding of the Presidents, their political positions, and why they matter in the American story. Informative and funny educational video on early U.S. Presidents
My son is obsessed with the U.S. Presidents. He received this video as a stocking stuffer and began watching it a few days ago. While many of the topics are a bit advanced for him (he's in elementary school), he got a lot out of the summaries at the end of each president and esp. the sections about what your life would be like if you lived in 1800. Or 1850. This is a well-done video, probably best for middle or high school students though. I used to teach social studies and ESOL. I would highly recommend this as a summary before a benchmark test for native English speakers.

Boring
I'd guesstimate appropriate grade level for the information in this DVD to be between 3rd and 5th grade, however imo, it'd put most in this age group to sleep. Now instead of purchasing the other three President DVDs, I'm giving this one away.

This is the best video for classrooms
This is the best video for classrooms. It's quick and fun and easy for the kids to understand. It's a great discussion starter or a wrap up to a lesson. Love these. You can access the clips on youtube for the most part (Jefferson wasn't on there) but I like the hard copy.

Fantastic for any American history teacher
The bits are short enough you can show in your classroom (about 5 minutes per president) and they're funny, engaging and historically accurate. The interviews with political pundits, high ranking politicians and historians add to the video. An extra bonus for teachers is that it comes with FREE public performance rights for any educational institution. Well worth the $30 or so to purchase.
