Estoy fascinado con los dibujos de los diseños originales de muchos inmuebles de París, principalmente las viviendas que es lo que más abunda en el contenido de este libro. Me puse a buscar varios de esos sitios en Google Earth y vaya que han cambiado mucho. Un libro que debes tener si eres fan de la arquitectura de la capital francesa.

Housing exists in everybody life. Apartment buildings together create human friendly city life. Diversity and harmony coexists in Paris old apartment buildings. If we look at today's housing design, harmony is scarce even though buildings are regulated by same land use bylaw. What is going wrong? I have my answer and hopefully housing design professionals could learn from this book. Beauty is not artificial nor result of personal ego.This book provides floor plans with elevations. It is a book for both building designer and general public. It provide planing technical information as well as pleasant graphical entertainment.It one of rare architecture book published for everybody who is interested in apartment buildings.I recommend architects and architecture or planing students to have this book as reference book.

Une belle reproduction d'un livre introuvable. Pour les passionnés d'architecture Française de la fin du 19éme. Pour les promeneurs qui aiment rechercher un bâtiment intéressant dans les rues de Paris. En noir et blanc comme le document original.A compléter "absolument" par les 2 superbes portfolio de "la brique et la terre cuite" de Pierre Chabat reproduits intégralement par Dover Books dans "Victorian Brick and Terra-Cotta Architecture". Dommage d'avoir changé le titre.

This is a really great historical/source book for Beaux-Arts architecture. There were floor plans (though rather small...often about 1/4-1/3 of an A4-sized page) and attractive line drawings of Parisian façades. Many of the buildings are multi-storey apartments, making it interesting to see layouts in comparison to today's apartments.
