VizCO's SEAL PLUS CPVC fitting was designed exclusively for a tighter seal. We enlarged the flange for more surface area in contact with the rubber washer. Our galvanized nut resists rust and we added extra teeth for more bite and gripping power. The VizCo 1" female Sch 40 CPVC Adapter is made of superior quality chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) and provides better ductility and resistance to higher pressures and temperatures than PVC fittings. One end has a female slip opening that connects to a 1" sch 40 male unthreaded pipe and the opposite end has male NPT threads for connecting to a female 1" threaded pipe. The NPT threads are tapered to produce a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is ideal for both hot and cold water pressure distribution systems. The smooth interior finish inside the fitting promotes optimal flow by reducing friction and inhibiting the buildup of materials compared to fittings made of other materials such as steel or copper. This means a reduction of the head loss in the system and potential energy savings. This adapter also includes a rubber washer and die cast zinc NPT locknut to ensure a water tight seal when used for installing drains in tanks.
