Outstanding product
Fast and easy, and great flavor. About as close as you are getting without making them from scratch. My wife sadly is addicted to refried beans from a can. If you can't tolerate refried beans that look like jellied cranberry sauce and smell like a bad cross between dogfood and other unknown substances (let alone taste ugh!), then this product is for you!Ingredients are very simple, it's just that these are pre prepared and dehydrated. Very lightweight, so if you are going outdoors, these are great to pack and rehydrate, and will definitely help keep you warm in the sleeping bag later, and the packaging is lightweight, so easy to dispose of after. On top of that, there's normal beans in this pack as well, very yummy also.Packaging wise, they come in a 2 part box, dispose of the top and you have a bottom display like container to keep them well organized.

Nice flavor, handy resealable bags
As a recent bariatric patient, I've had to go through a lengthy "pureed foods only" stage. As I can't fit much food in my new tummy, canned beans wouldn't last long enough in my fridge. These resealable bags are perfect, I can make as little as I need. The flavor is nice, and it only take 5 minutes to prepare. I find I need to add a little more of my own seasonings, though. Package arrived well prepared and quickly! Note: I am not associated with the selling/product companies. Nor did I receive any incentive to write a positive review. I'm just your average gal giving an honest review. Thank you for reading this and I hope you find my comment helpful.

Tasty, economical, and more!
These are some tasty beans, and do NOT need heat to reconstitute, just liquid! You must try adding water (or tea, beer, tomato juice, etc.) and tasting after a while--it's a fun combo of crunch and apparently cooked beans, albeit cold. What this means is that you can prepare it the night before, then heat it up in the morning. I use this method to reduce cooking time for all sorts of things, and if these are good cold, that's a nice compliment! This would be a great road food snack, heated via sunlight on a car's dashboard. Serve with tortillas or your favorite bread/wrap, etc.Until I learn to dehydrate my own beans, I'll be buying these!

Very happy with purchase.
So far I have only tried a few of these. Realize the Borracho Beans are quite spicy, but very tasty. These products go a lot further than you average can of re-fried beans/beans, The eight packs are the equivalent of ~24 cans of beans as they are dehydrated, yet they are just as simple and, in my opinion, taste better than the canned stuff. You would have to get a pretty good deal to get 24 cans of quality refried beans/beans for around $14 (subscribe and save deal).I am giving this one five stars as the price and quality is practically unbeatable at your local grocery store.

Delicious
They want twenty words for a review ... but how can I say more than "delicious", "excellent quality", "flavorful", and perhaps most important if you believe in keeping a couple months' worth of food "just in case", stores VERY well for longer periods? Take camping and mix with instant rice for a very flavorful and rib-sticking meal. According to my grandsons, though, it isn't good enough ... because it doesn't give them the noisy gas they are so proud of! Man-thing, I guess. Thank goodness, though ... no earplugs or gasmaks needed! Good, tasty stuff!

very easy to use and healthy
I like having a variety in this pack. I mostly use them to make homemade frozen burritos, so it's great to have a few different flavors. They are very easy to work with since all you have to do is re-hydrate them. You don't have to use heat, which is also nice since I would have to cool them back down to freeze the burritos anyway. That would also make them convenient if you were camping or in an emergency situation with no power/gas to cook with. The flavor and consistency are much better than canned beans and you get to skip out on all the nasty chemicals and preservatives.

Best Refried Beans I've Found
I've read the reviews of Amy's and Santa Fe refried beans and have also tried LaVictoria refried beans .. all of the different types. Up until now I had stuck with LaVictoria's beans in the can, vegetarian, non fat and green chile. The convenience was great the taste not so great.Baseline taste for me is the refried bean made from scratch, soaked, boiled and fried ... preferably in vegetable oil. Only one has come close to that taste and that is the Santa Fe bean in the package ... great taste. The Amy's I have in a tie with the LaVictoria beans.

Great texture
I loved some of these flavors and didn't like others. The texture was great either way, out did my expectations for sure! The pouches are zip lock so you can just add boiling water take your serving and zip it up to put in the refrigerator. A nice touch. I'm wondering if you couldn't use the product to make your own bean patties and in such recipes. Maybe someone more kitchen adept than I will try.
