Pump pump pump it up
The impeller didn’t create heat, can’t beat that. I also liked the impeller can be changed. Only savings outside of 2.0 running amps would be a VFD is my next upgrade for efficiency

This pump runs very quiet. I like having the two size impellers I switched to the dart impeller to start with as I add a couple reactors and chiller if needed I might switch back to the snapper one. Changing the impeller was as easy as could be

A long read but may save you hundreds. Thousands if you only read the last few lines.
The media could not be loaded. So these pumps seem to be okay until.... Until after about the one year mark the seals leak (forget the reviews and check out forums and you find many failures). First you see (in the first pic) some salt creep and some weird orange crud, that I assume is the seal itself or lubricant. After a bit of this stage the pump will leak. I replaced the seal and again it failed within a year. I ordered a new pump so I would not have to re plumb my system also I assume that Id have to repair the crappy seal every year and being able to swap pumps made sense to me at the time. I sent the pump to manufacturer for repairs and was told the pump was not repairable. The claim was they replaced some internal parts but the pump is making noise still. The pump was never making noise before, just leaking, but they would sell me a re-manufactured one (probably the one I sent in) at what they claim is a greatly reduced price. Also with this re-manufactured pump the worthless warranted period is 6 months. Now I have my original pump (if they send it back) that is somehow beyond repair, a second one I purchased as a back up and easy swap out, and they want me to buy another from them? I know that everyone is bad at what they do but I've spent enough on these crappy pumps. Oh, and to top it off the new pump (second picture and video) is starting to fail at 2-3 weeks old. Nutz Using a containment vessel under a pump is always a great idea. Just be sure the water can vacate the vessel before the motor electronics are submerged. Short walls or a hole drilled is fine. pluming to take overflow water to a drain is better. Wet floors suck, wet floors charged with electricity kill.Update. I did in fact receive my pump back. It now makes a crazy loud noise that it was not making before I had sent it. All the other parts were just tossed in a bag and sent in the box with the pump motor. These are NOT MY PARTS. They just grabbed old stuff sitting around and sent it to me. They did go the effort to reprint the serial numbers and stick them to the old parts. I want to take away the 1 star that they automatically get. No honor, no integrity, no value. I'll never do business with this company again.
