WellerPH60 Stand Iron, Black

After years of laying my iron on the bench, or perching it one of those brass sponges, I got a real holder. Interfaces very well with my Weller WP35 iron. The little notch around the plastic lock ring sits in the mouth of the holder, and the far end is a good fit for the barrel of the iron. Funnel is shaped well to guide the iron via the tip's lock ring instead of the tip proper. It has a nice weight to it, and rubber feet that aren't just little pads that'll fall of, so it stays put.Deducted a star because of how difficult it is to get the holder and base apart. After a few times, and not jamming it all the wayin, it gets easier a bit. Moot point if it lives on your bench, but I keep all my soldering tools in a fibreglass toolbox berween uses.

Solid stand that doesn't tip over. No contact between tip/barrel (cheap 8586) with the spring holder. Best thing though is my kaisiking soldering tip cleaner can fits perfectly where the sponge should go. Just finished soldering a little kkmoon 47 amp, not once did the stand tip over while tip cleaning, insertion or removal.

Someone made off with my old iron stand so it's replacement time. I was using an large flat executive glass ashtray but it's too risky operating that way. Most cheap stands fall over or corrupt the iron tip. Weller makes quality gear so I'm willing to pay the extra bucks for NASA spec results!

Great quality stand. Very sturdy and stable.

A bit pricey but no comparison to cheaper stands. Much heavier.

The stand is well built and does exactly what it should.

Much more weight than I expected it to be but that's exactly what I wanted. This unit is solid and not plastic! Your iron won't tip over in this holder. Comes with a flat sponge that poofs up when wet. It was more than I wanted to spend but I'm glad I did after I read the reviews. Great product; thanks!
