These are far and away the BEST style for toddlers and babies. We also purchased the (competitors) style that has the wire mechanism at the ear, and our almost 3 year old found them too pinchy. When it came to the competitors version, he didn’t like the amount of pressure on his ears, and also didn’t like that they were too complicated for him to put on and off himself. This (more simple) style of headband is less collapsible (therefore less portable), but seem much much more comfortable. Bonus that he can take them on and off himself (which is important to him).THESE ONES ARE THE WINNER.Sizing Comparison:Red ones are the style advertised as 5-10, and Blue ones are the style advertised as under 3.Although the red ones are a TEENSY bit bigger, I think it is unlikely that they would actually fit a 10 year old. But the red pair certainly work for a toddler, and we use the blue pair for an infant.

My 3yo kiddo has been complaining of "too loud" and covering his ears at random times. Vacuuming or driving over bridges has been the most consistent times of complaint. It seems its very common for kiddos his age to get overstimulated by touch and sound. These are a great tool! So much so, that i purchased another pair to keep in the car so we have one when we are traveling. He is still able to hear us talking but he immediately looks calmer and says "feel better" when they're placed over his ears.

Bought these for my 4 yr old son who has ASD. I was worried he wouldn't wear them but he uses them often and they seem comfortable to him.
