Works well
I use this to make foam for my cappuccino every day. It works well. It adheres very well on the counter thanks to little suction cups. It has two speeds and it is easy to clean. It makes great milkshakes as well. Obviously, this is a stirrer so it won't crush ice or mash fruit, you will need a blender for this.It is a little loud (ok, a lot) but it does it's job so fast, you don't need to run for long. The price was good and it works great, so I recommend!!

They don't make 'em like they used to!
I have a nice Hamilton Beach Model 30 mixer from the 40's, built like a tank and has worked flawlessly for decades, and it heavy. and solid. I thought a new one would be better for everyday use, so I got this. This does the job, but the shaft is much flimsier and moves in the socket. The tip and cup holder are plastic, not metal like the older one, It has a plastic switch as well. It does mix well and looks nice.. Time will tell how it holds up. Those plastic parts probably won't last 80 years like the old model 30.

Evil machine will ruin your life
This is the worst thing I have ever bought. Not because it's a bad machine, no it makes really good milkshakes... too good. I just tried it out with some good hagen daz, some Hershey syrup and some whole milk. Wow it forced me to make a second one immediately after against my will. Unfortunately now I can make restaurant grade shakes at a fraction of the cost in the comfort of my own home. I just know that now I have probably ruined my life. This will truly make great shakes, but beware of the consequences LOL

Terrible product, terrible company, find something else or go to a thrift store
First I received multiple visibly damaged products (scratches and dents) before I got one that wasn't. I then used it once and it broke, the spindle wont stay in no matter how you twist. This happens no matter what you are trying to mix in it even if it is just water and a couple ice cubes. Outside of Amazon return window and Hamilton Beach wants over 30% of the price of the item to send a replacement. Will that one work....who knows? It was terrible customer service and it's a scam to ask for over 30% of the product price to maybe get something that might work or not be visibly damaged.

Very light. Feels really cheap.
Way too small. Before I even opened the box, I could tell that this was junk. The cup is smaller than the ones used on real milkshake makers and the whole thing feels incredibly cheap and shoddy. It's going back immediately. Spend less, you get less. My mistake. The following is my updated review from two days later...I decided I didn't want to bother sending this back and canceled the return. I figured I have it so why not try it. We'll, it's still pretty cheap feeling but I had a half pint of ice cream, from my Creami (which can make a decent shake on its own, but not in any quantity) and threw it into the cup, with some milk and sweetened vanilla syrup, plus a ripe banana. It, definitely made a milkshake, although it didn't do well on the banana. Maybe longer mixing time next time. I upgraded my review from one star to three as the cup STILL isn't as large as what I remember when I used to go to the local drug store, as a kid, and get a large drink cup that the soda jerk would fill to the top and then leave the rest (yes, there was always some left over) for me to finish. Plus, it just feels so cheap. Sadly, there's very little mid-range pricing on these machines. If you want a larger capacity cup, and sturdier construction, you're going to spend big (thus a main reason for keeping this one for better or worse). As stated, this DOES make a milkshake. The two speeds are a plus, as are the suction cups that keep it stable. I feel better about it now and I'm glad I kept it. So... how long will it last? I guess I'll find out.
