Works Well
I splice fiber for a living and this cleaver performed above my expectation. Mind you that i also use the Inno V7 cleaver, which was $500+ dollars when i got it, and this one performed just as good. Since i got it I've must have cleaved around 450 fibers and the performance is around 440 perfect cleave. I also want to add that i do this at pole locations, meaning outside in damped weather at times (Alabama). All in all i would purchase this item again without hesitation.**Also want to give appreciation to the Amazon rep who supported me to receive this item, because it wasn't shipped according to the invoice. She got another unit sent out to me ASAP. Thank you for doing it right. Good job Amazon!

Does the job for you
I had to order this cleaver, got it last week because I misplaced mine in the field. I've been getting tired of using scissors to create fiber ends. As soon as I put this product to use, I've been able to make the perfect tip with crystal clear dBm.It's very satisfying to use, much bigger and heavier than I thought it would be which I love. Definitely does not feel like a $20 cleaver.Will be shopping with you guys

I bought it just to see how this type worked. I'm used to a FBC-001. I was shocked to see this cleaver did a better job then my $200 Siecor. It did leave a few "Glass hairs" that burn off in the splicer clean step

Buyer Beware
This appears to be a counterfeit of a Sumitomo (Japanese) cleaver. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt. All the cleaves I made with this product failed certification. I immediately followed re-cleaving with an actual Sumitomo cleaver, all cleaves then certified without fail. This cheap China made product doesn't even come with a catch bin leaving glass shards to apparent abandon. I have received certification/training in the termination and testing of fiber through Corning as well as BICSI and perform these tasks regularly.

Awesome tool
Working with fibre cable my old cleaver wasn't as good as it used to be. This new cleaver has made my work so much easier. Thank you for an excellent product. A++++++++

Cumple su función
Aunque no es de la mejor calidad, cumple su función. Tuve que cambiar el seguro que fija el cable para lograr el corte, era demasiado grande. El tiempo dirá sobre su durabilidad.
