Settings above speed one aren't silent but still fairly quiet. I use this to clean the air in a moldy room and it works great! The little light indicating air quality has never been anything but blue; however, love this feature as a reassurance.

I don’t know how the manufacture could call this a quiet device. At minimum speed the decibel level is rated at less than 26 and it maximum speed at 56 dB, which is quite loud for any bedroom. The device should be renamed. It is not whisper nor quietAs I had hoped.

The size is nice and it takes little room on a nightstand. It also looks sleek. The blue light doubles as a nightlight for the kids' room and it really is quiet when you put it on the lowest mode (to the point where I question if it's doing much...although you feel a slight breeze coming from the top). Once you go to the second setting, it gets louder to the point where it's annoying and you probably wouldn't want to sleep with that sound. The third setting sounds like the thing is going to explode...although it moves air.I haven't noticed any improvements with my son's allergies, but I like to think it at least helps a little.

I got two of these at the same time and they have rarely been used. However when I put them side by side, one has the green light go on and other has the blue light so I have to wonder about the reliability of it. Also there is a reservoir that does not seem to work. I just have no idea if these things are actually doing anything!

If not for the lights on this, I could forget it was on it's so quiet! Would be nice if spot that turns off lighted ring was lit so you could see it at night. The lighted ring gives off way too much light but easy to turn off.

I bought this because it was described as a quiet air purifier with a HEPA filter. When I received it, a small caption on a diagram in the scanty manual (which appears to be translated from another language) showed it to also contain an anion generator, which I did not want. The seller, Allergy Buyers Club, confirmed that it does have a negative ion generator which cannot be turned off. The plastic casing also appears flimsy. I bet Amazon could cut down on their returns significantly if their descriptions were accurate.

This Quiet pure Air Purifier does exactly how it was described. It works efficiently and quietly in the background cleanning the air that surrounds you. I suffer horribly from allergies and I don't give out faux awards and praise. I get shots weekly and take allergy meds daily,so I'm saying this little cleanner does a great job in a bedroom,small den or family room. I will purchase another like it for my grand daughter.Also has a nite light which I like.

It is very quiet. Typically at this point in allergy season I would be miserable. By changing my diet to Paleo, adding a filte to my A/C unit and running this 24/7,in my bedroom I am so far, symptom free!
