Cryptozoic Entertainment Adventure Time Card Wars Doubles Tournament Card Game

Ok, so I knew this was gonna be a tricky game to learn despite being an avid fan of the show and having tried to 'pre-learn' by watching the episodes of the show featuring the game before getting my hands on a couple of actual decks, but this game is fantastically complicated. I've read through the rule book, in all its intricate hilarity, a couple of times now and attempted playing a couple of times while reading through the rules with my 6 year old nephew. We still don't quite have it down properly, but we do have a heck of a good time playing it as we laugh at ourselves trying to figure out the rules because it seems like every game we realize another rule we were playing wrong or forgot about altogether. It continues to keep us entertained as we work toward perfecting our game skills and strategy gearing up to play the doubles version as the ultimate team. For fans of the show, it's a must!

It's fun. If you play MTG, then you may find the rules lacking, as I do. However, if you're an Adventure Time fan, then you'll love the Card Wars nostalgia, and these decks are pretty okay. You will need 4 people if you want to use them to their fullest though, otherwise, some cards don't do anything since you need a teammate and don't have one. I suggest removing them prior to the start of a 2 player game. Overall, solid for a cartoon based TCG.

This game is what got me into other card games like yugioh and magic. If you're looking for something fun to play with your kids or for a card game to play with friends on game night I would highly recommend this one. Be a cool guy! 😎

Product came nicely packaged, still wrapped in its plastic and there were minimal dents marks and scratches. Perfect buy to begin your card wars collection :)

The price was good but the package could have been more carefull. A box in a bag results in damage at every corner.

the doubles tournament is sweeter than Treetrunks. the decks are able to be used for 2v2 games or 4v4 games; which, is great because if you have a couple friends over for a game night everyone can play together. the box is fantastic and can actually hold 6 of the 2 player deck boxes comfortably (which is great for separating out landscapes and decks). my only qualm is that none of the decks contain cards that pertain to flipping landscapes (so a deck that contains cards that do so will have an incredible advantage over any deck in this set).
