OXOGood Grips Silicone Jar Spatula - Oat

I generally love all OXO’s products and this spatula is exception. It’s the right amount of sturdy and flexible at the same time, making it the perfect tool for a LOT of applications!

...but in a good way.I ordered this spatula as the Oxo brand always seems to be highly rated on America Test Kitchen. This one does not disappoint. Here is what I like about it: 1) Single piece construction: no nooks or crannies for food and debris to get trapped in and is easy to clean. Has embedded stiffener in handle so tool feels sturdy, without being "floppy". 2) Made of silicone: no worries about melting the tool. 3) Spatula head: nicely sculpted, with tapering edges all around, allowing you to get into all the corners of whatever bowl or pan you are using it on. Stiffener of handle runs about half way through spatula head, giving it some stiffness, while having the end and edges being just silicone, providing flexibility where it is needed. 4) Handle: handle is long, about 9.5" long, (overall spatula is about 15" long). At first, I thought this would be too long and unwieldly, but after using it for a bit, I actually find it useful as I get better leverage when stirring more viscous things or needing some extra distance from a hot frying pan or being able to reach the bottom of a deep pot. That said, this is not for delicate, precision work, more of a work horse tool.Final analysis: I would recommend this spatula to friends and family so it get's 5-stars.

I love the oxo brand for kitchen tools. This is very sturdy, it’s dishwasher safe. It’s flexible enough to scrape out jars and bowls. But not so elastic that it fails to complete the job. Yesterday I made cookies with us and cleaned out the bowl and I even used it to help, the cookie balls.

THis is a versatile tool in the kitchen. THe heat proof function is great, it fits nicely in my hand and the size makes it good for scraping out containers. The scoop feature lets you use it for serving up items as well.

I bought the jar spatula and every day spatula as well. This one is very nice, quality is great, I just don’t find too many things I need a giant spatula for. It’s a little too large for my liking, but I’ll keep it, and of course I will still use it. If I had it to do over I would buy 2 of the everyday ones. All of the set are a little stiffer than other spatulas I’ve used, but they aren’t TOO stiff and work well for their intended purpose.

outstanding quality and gorgeous color. i like the oatmilk hue so much. also, the silicone is really great quality and very sturdy. oxo is on the expensive side, but the never miss with quality and im a sucker for branding...

I've been through a lot of spatulas, this is the only one I've ever owned that didn't eventually get burned or discolored, rinses off easily, and isn't too bendy like others. The small size works great for a small pan, or just spreading butter, or getting peanut butter out of the jar. Cleans off very easily with usually just a quick spray in the sink.

No complaints, does its job, seems to be great quality

I use it to mix my sourdough starter. It is awesome as it is stiff and mixes really well, you can get the last bit from around the jar easily

I thought it would be soft and bendy since it's made of silicone but it's not. It's very sturdy to hold and make cooking a lot easier. The sturdiness also makes it easy to wash.

All one piece. Balances stiffness and bendiness very well. Easy to clean. Looks to be all silicone with no material to accidentally melt while balancing it on a saucepan. Also, given I've had 1 for over a year and bought a second one, their longevity is excellent given I cook quite a bit.
