This Tempranillo is one of the three regions we do Tempranillo from. This fruit is from eastern Washington in the Yakama area. It leads off with an aroma of elderberries, minerals, and a touch of thyme, you may desire to load it into your Misto(r) and spritz yourself with it as perfume. Next you are presented with a very approachable mid-palate, brooding with fruit and inspiring you to hold it in your mouth for a while. The finish kicks it up a notch, both dry and acidic, lingering for 30 seconds or so. Suitable as a stand-alone for the stout - otherwise a perfect partner for that bacon-wrapped apricot with blue cheese that we know you eat every day. That, or a hot dog.
