The Halbera, sole inhabitant and protector of the Rime sea is a creature as mysterious as it is massive. Dwelling leagues beneath the waves, little is known about this creature. When Azerex, the Master of Dragons summoned the Halbera to the surface to form an alliance, it answered that it would neither aid nor would it hinder his efforts. Reclusive and antisocial, it did choose no political affiliation in the Dragon War of long ago. The Halbera serves only itself. All dragonkind believe the Halbera is the oldest of the dragons, that it somehow escaped entrapment within the Dragon Gate, and that it may possibly be the last of its species. No matter its origin or allegiance, may it be known that few creatures....be them dragon or human...encounter the Halbera and live to tell others the tale.
