No. You can not play solo. There are 4 and 6 player variations for team play.

We love spy alley and play it for 2; does this game work with 2 and is there a 2-player variant (like in spy alley)?

Simply Suspects allows for 2 to 6 suspects; however, what is unusual is the suspects each have an opportunity to tamper with the evidence so that it points to other suspects.
