Can’t go wrong for the price. Only thing to note is the charger will power itself either through solar or the battery, so if you have it stored under a vehicle cover, there will be battery drain. But the idle draw is about 5mA, so it would take over a year to drain a 50Ah battery.

There are no mounting "feet" in this kit. That leaves the purchaser scrambling to innovate a means to secure the panel to a surface -- important in case of sudden wind, which could blow the panel away. Additional problem is the cable leading from the panel to the battery. There is no exit slot, so the unit sits on the cable, causing potential short circuit hazard due to chafing. Mounting feet, as found in so many other brands of solar panels, solves these problems.

Mounted on pontoon and keeps batteries charged very well. I would certainly recommend this item to a friend. And, I like my friends.

Does not charge from usb ports. I returned the kit back to amazon and they received it oct 11. Says i won't get my refund until oct 27???!!!

The product description does not mention anywhere that this controller does not work with any form of Li battery, including LiFePO.The controller itself is confusing to use, and the instructions are flat-out wrong. The "timer" has no logic to how it works, as far as I can tell, and I'm the kind of guy who generally figures stuff out.As far as I can tell, the solar panel works nicely.Summary: if I could return just the controller, I would do so in a heartbeat. The price with the panel makes it not worth the time/headache to return the whole set, though. I suppose if you are using a lead-acid battery, you'd be fine except for setting up the controller.

The media could not be loaded.  Ive got it mounted on the roof of a chicken tractor to charge a deep cycle battery to power a winch to move the tractor 8 feet everyday. Works perfect for this application.

I use this to power a 12 volt battery and dc fence energizer. It is working great so far. Easy to set up.
