Lava the Original 2211 14.5-Inch Star Vortex Lamp

The media could not be loaded. after my poor dearly deceased (and discontinued) Sand Castle lava lamp fell off my desk due to a poorly-executed mosquito swat and oozed goo all over the place, I chose this one for a replacement! I'm super happy with it! I was definitely nervous after seeing some of the bad reviews but it's so pretty and perfect.Lots of people said it is noisy, mine is not. If i'm super close to it i can hear a little bit of super quiet whining sound from the star-spinner but having the sort of white noise helps me concentrate :) Plus I have to put my face up to it to hear it.Other people mentioned the lights don't work especially the purple but it seems ok to me! The purple isn't quite as bright as the other colors but it's definitely vivid and you can see it in person a thousand times better than in the video! The blue and turquoise lights are super bright and vibrant.Some people also said the stars spin too fast, from watching the video of it I was nervous about this being stressful but it's not at all! They don't spin as fast as it looks. There are lots of stars in it though, I love all the floaty stars!!Anyway, I definitely recommend the lamp! It doesn't get hot at all like a normal lava lamp. plus it has sorta galaxy vibes which is fun.

I placed this lava lamp on my night table; I turn it on in the evenings and then turn it off before bedtime . It gives quite a light show, rotating about five colors at a fast rate of speed. It is very beautiful and well crafted and gives my bedroom a wonderful evening ambience. I plan to buy this item for my boss for Christmas. Make sure that you read the enclosed directions before you do a thing, as you don't want to pull on the top or the bottom of the lamp; this is a self-contained unit with a non-replaceable LED lamp.

I bought this lamp to give as a gift for a child. It's the perfect gift for little ones. It doesn't get hot at all like a traditional lava lamp which is what I was going for. There is a fan inside that swirls all the sparkly stars around and a light that changes colors from green to blue to purple. We keep the lamp on all the time sometimes all day and night.I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it for little kids that aren't quite ready for a real lava lamp.

It's nice that they tried something new with this model by replacing the red LEDs with purple LEDs, but the purple ones are so dim the light almost appears to go out when it phases to purple. Other than that, it works perfectly.

The media could not be loaded. There are various types of lava lamps out there. This is the one my wife likes. It’s very pretty. Simply plug in the power cord and you’re up and running.In the video, there is a pretty purple after the blue, but the camera lens had a hard time replicating it. I even tried a couple different camera apps.Will it last awhile? Hopefully so.

I absolutely love it! It’s so sparkly and I like that it has a shut off on the lamp not the cord. It does not heat up at all like my lava lamp. So cool!

I regret to say that the purple LED has stopped working after just five months of use.That's unfortunate, as it seemed to be a Lava Glitter Lamp on steroids. Compared to the traditional Lava glitter lamps, you flip the switch on this puppy and it starts working almost immediately. The star-shaped glitter pieces start swirling, and blue, green, and purple LEDs phase in and out lighting them up.The lamp casts a moving, sparkly glow on nearby walls, an added bonus.It is also quiet in operation (so far, at any rate), and it doesn't heat up like the standard glitter or lava lamps.But is it worth $18 for five months of use? I think not...PROS:* Great to watch.* Cool to the touch.* Works immediately.* Casts light sparkles on nearby surfaces.* No bulbs to replace.* Reasonably priced.CONS:* Purple LED failed after just five months. Phooey!

This beautiful glittery lava lamp does not require batteries, because it has a cord to plug it in to an outlet. The lighting is Led so it does not get warm. Gave it to my 14 year old granddaughter and she loved it!
