HERSHEY'S SPECIAL DARK Cocoa, 8 Ounce

I absolutely love this! It has so much more flavor than the regular cocoa powder. It is rich and deep tasting. I use cocoa powder in my morning smoothies for the chocolate taste, low carb and calories as compared to actual chocolate, and the health benefits if they really do exist.Amazon Prime Pantry has the lowest price that I’ve found but they have changed the ordering process with Prime Pantry with a new higher price or extra subscription and minimum order required.

I so recommend Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa!!! Beyond exceeded my expectations! A little goes a long way to add flavor to end my cravings for chocolate! I'm on a low carb diet, yet still crave chocolate at times without having the guilt of cheating. Yes I know it has 2 net carbs per tablespoon. I've found that I can use 1/4 tsp added to my unsweetened almond milk smoothies or coffee & it adds just the right amount of chocolate flavor. Just an FYI if adding full tsp it makes it super chocolate flavored & almost black looking. I could only imagine how it would be if I used a full serving. It's a perfect blend I love that it doesn't have that bitterness to it like the unsweetened cocoa.

I've been making "no sugar" hot cocoa, which intensifies any bitter or metallic components. The double dutch process used in this stuff makes it smooth and delicious. I got a whole bunch of other kinds of cocoa including supposedly famous brands (eg ghirardelli). I then subjected my poor family to multiple double blind taste tests. But no need to bother really, everybody immediately gravitates to this one. All are good of course, hey it's chocolate? But Hershey's special dark is, well special.

The container unsealed, perhaps because it was past its date.Its a quality product we use regularly.

I have bought Hershey's cocoa in the past, but this was the first time I bought the special dark. Being a huge fan of special dark chocolate I was anxious to try it; it is not in our local store so I was pleased to find it on Amazon. We make a chocolate sauce with cocoa powder, maple syrup, coconut oil and vanilla, so that was the test for the new cocoa. It came out fantastic! We were so happy with the taste, in fact the sauce didn't last long! Also used some in a batch of brownies, 1/2 regular cocoa and 1/2 special dark. Gave the brownies a nice, rich taste.

I normally use the regular cocoa for baking, but this dark chocolate, especially with a tiny bit of instant coffee added in, ups the flavor of brownies and baked goods 1000%! Rich tasting dark chocolate, great for diets because just a tiny bit is satisfying. I like this better than the regular baking cocoa.

I love this product but I can never find it in stores so I have to order it, I use it to make chocolate crinkle cookies and this is great for it. These give the cookies a much richer and deeper chocolate flavor compared to just regular cocoa.

I am a professional baker & was pleasantly surprised at the depth of flavor.I needed to make a deep dark chocolate cake for a client & there was not enough time to purchase my usual brands of dark cocoa powder, (Valrhona or Cacao Barry). But this Hershey's Special Dark cocoa is hands & feet better than Hershey's regular cocoa. I would highly recommend it! My cake was a huge success.
