All pieces were of good quality but were not painted black. They are dark colored steel or iron. They worked well in the project I put together.

Loved these. Purchased for DYI industrial curtain rods. Loved the quality of the product. Very heavy. These are not going to bend. Threads were great. Product is a bit oily, so be careful with it touching your walls.

Bought two 10 piece bags and both are filled with rust. The pieces aren't even painted like they are in the images when I went to buy them. Some of them are also chipped and cracked. Unusable, I'm returning these.

It is not the same grade metal that you would get from a hardware store, but for what we are using it for it will work fine.

Arrived packaged ok (in a padded mailer) but arrived with surface rust all over the pipes.Package had not been wet or outside at all.I purchased several lengths for a project and all of them were rusty. Pretty disappointed in that.They appear to just be raw steel with no oil or coating of any kind to prevent surface oxidation.I did buy a bunch of fittings like elbows and 'T's at the same time and they were all good without rust.Overall I wouldn't buy again.On the plus side, they are way cheaper than the hardware store, but the metal is much lighter and thinner than the water or gas pipe you would buy there, but i expected that.The surface rust is really annoying but I'll likely just keep them and sand them down paint them instead of trying to hassle with a return.

I ordered two different sizes and both came comely trashed and rusted. The material feels tacky and similar to aluminum. I have worked in the R.V. industry welding for a few years and or scrap metal wasn't even this crappy. I put a different companies pipes next to the ones I got to show how bad this place does. Left side if what this company sends, right side is what it SHOULD have been. Save yourself the frustration and buy somewhere else. BEYOND HORRIBLE PRODUCT!

I am using to make leaping arches in X Lights with pex line so this is purely decorative. HD version is very sturdy and strong for a real-use application I would get the HD version. 3 star rating as many others have said came covered in rust, needed to wipe down and then paint. Plus side is that they are basically $1 a piece and for decorative use that is perfect.

Was planning to use this for DIY. Was waiting for this with full of excitement. When it arrived, I immediately opened it up just to feel fully disappointed. Everything was covered in rust. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this item
